Chapter 4- Escaping

   It was a long night, kacchan stayed the night. It was hard to sleep because of all the noise they were making. Not to mention I was stuck in a room right next to theirs. "How long d they usually keep it up..?" Kacchan asked, I could tell he was tired. "A couple of hours, but they're so drunk they pass out in the middle of it" We both were sitting on the bed watching Mikio sleep. It was one of the only things that helped get my mind off these types of things. 

  It was about 2 am and we were talking about school. It was peaceful, it sounded like they had fallen asleep. Mikio started moving around, "I guess he's having a nightmare?" I looked at kacchan, he looked mesmerized by Mikio. "Mmm ma.." Mikio slowly sat himself up holding onto the side of his crib. "Ma" He rubbed his eyes and looked around the room then stared at me. "Mama..!" He bounced on his legs, I got up and walked over to him, picking him up and holding him in my arms. 

 After a few minutes, he started getting fussy, I could tell he was hungry. "He's hungry, let go get some food to feed him" Kacchan just nodded as we both got off the bed. He opened the door and stuck his head out looking to we if anybody was there. We both slowly started to go downstairs, once we reached the kitchen kacchan was holding Mikio. I was searching the fridge to see if there was any food Mikio could eat. He already had some teeth so he was able to eat some regular food. While I was searching I saw some french fries from this morning, they looked normal. I put them in the microwave when they were done I put them in a small container I use for Mikio's food. We headed upstairs and closed the door, making sure to be quiet.

 We sat down on the floor and sat Mikio in his high chair. I placed Mikio's food on his tray, and he started eating them. I looked at kacchan and sighed, "We should leave" I sat next to Kacchan on the floor. "You can stay at my house" I smiled "Well then, let's start packing" I got up and packed everything that Mikio and I needed. I packed some clothes and a stuffed animal for myself, then I packed Mikio's clothes and toys, even some of his baby snacks. I was thinking of a way to take the highchair with us. I did pay for all of his things so I wanted to take them with me. 

 We managed to get everything packed, we had a stroller set up for Mikio downstairs so it would be easier to carry everything. I had a backpack and a baby bag, while kacchan had his bag and one of Mikio's bags. We put Mikio's diapers in the pocket on the bottom of the stroller. 

  We had to go out the back door so it would make less sound, Mikio was sleeping so we didn't have to worry about him crying. I followed kacchan to his house, it was about 20 minutes away from my house walking. We continued walking on the sidewalk, Mikio would occasionally wake up and look around where we were, sometimes he would make kacchan push him, or else he would cry. 

  When we got to kacchan's house, it was about to be 3 am, a good thing he had a key. What we didn't expect was his mom and dad to be up and sitting in the kitchen. We pushed the stroller in and placed the bags along the wall. "Hey, old hag" I just stood there holding Mikio, "Hey brat, why are you back I thought you were staying over at your friend's" She didn't look at us adjust sipped her drink while kacchans father smiled at us. What was he going to say?
