2 weeks earlier...

A letter flew through the girl's door, a building pile on her rug, the girl stood up, carefully carrying her chai tea across her living room, leaning down to pick up several letters, 2 or 3 of them from Arkham asylum, but then again she had about 300 of unopened labeled with the same name, The top one, a handwritten cover, there were 3 of them, one addressed to Elle, another to Max, and the last to Blythe, she set down the now organized pile, taking the newest one, 'From- Lexxi Luther.', she opened it carefully...

"Dear Blythe Nygma, My name is Lexxi Luther, I'm sure you know who I am, the new leader of LexCorp, This is a formal invitation to join a group of outcasts of sorts, location is written on the back- Lexxi Luther."

Present-day...

"Come on.", "Why do we have to walk there.", "Elle stop complaining.", they reach the warehouse soon, it looked fresh a new, several cars parked out front, "Uh- what! I thought you said we had to walk!", "I thought we did!", "LexCorp- Blythe are you insane!", "Max calm down.", she furthers, opening the giant door, her sibling and Max following behind, "Ah! Finally Blythe, Elle, Max.", "I'm Lexxi Luther, this is my partner in crime, Aurora Napier.", "Good to meet you." The pale girl next to her smiles, "Please sit.", 2/3 do as told, Elle a little more hesitant, she stands next to Max, "You all came... good. I am lex-", "Why do you want us here heh?" A man with Scottish accent questions, "Well Mr. McCulloch, I want you all here for different reasons, if you'd let me get there.", the giant Scottish man rolls his eyes, sitting back on the chair, "You are my new team... of course if you want to be. $2,000 A week-", "That's not enough.." The Scottish man notes, Elle rolls her eyes, "Can you shut the fuck up and stop interrupting her?" She puts a knife up to his thick neck, a smile playing on both of their faces, he glances down at her shirt, "Fresh out of the loony bin?", "No need to fight you two." Lexxi speaks, Max pulls his girlfriend away from the man, "Whatever it takes, I selected you all, specifically, for different reasons...", A redhead slowly shakes their head, "I can't help you.", they stand up ready to walk out, "Hazel Pepper, You are especially important, all Of you have a part...", "$12,500 every mission, on top of the $2,000 every week, food will be served soon and contracts after, just consider it.", You could tell the girl was losing her grip, desperate to keep these people near her, around her, "Ma'am food is ready.", "Stay for dinner.", the woman stands up, before looking directly at-"Elle Nygma I'm sure your dying for a good meal.", Elle Shows a smile, "Gotham food isn't so horrible when the lunch ladies are afraid of you.", Lexxi chuckles, the group follows her, through a door into a dining room, it was nice, Elle didn't touch anything, old habit, but she is directed to a seat with her name on a little card, in the middle, Max on one side, Blythe on the other, "Dinner.. is served.", several people lift silver hoods, revealing delicious-looking food, the group digs in, Elle doesn't take any food, any pours herself a glass of vodka, "Aren't you too young for that?" A woman with long brown lushes hair asks, "You know who I am?", "You killed 32 orphans, and then when on a killing spree at age 12... most people know who you are.", "Then you should know I don't follow the law.", she chugs down the drink, setting her glass on the table, "What else is in this deal?", "Shelter, any weapon imaginable, anything else you need." The girl sips wine, Elle stares down at the knife placed neatly next to her plate, into space as the people around her speak, getting along finally, she feels a hand on her thigh, snapping her out of her thoughts quickly, she grabs the knife she was once staring at, "Woah Elle calm down it's just me.", Max grabs her hand, taking the knife out of it swiftly, "I-I'm sorry...", "It's okay.. don't worry.", he takes his hand off of her, slowly letting go of her hand, she stayed silent for the rest of the dinner, even if she was spoken to, she never spoke back, until... "Elena-", "It's Elle, don't call me Elena.", "Would you like some chocolate cake?", "No.", "It's your favorite Elle." Blythe notes, "The kind with chocolate chips in it.", "Just a tiny piece.", She's handed twice what she wanted, feeling like she was going to cry as she took bites, gaging every time, Max took notice, he always had a way with Elle, he could make her feel like everything and nothing at the same time, like she had the world but she was the scum of it, but she liked it that way, she enjoyed the disrespect he fed her from his palms, a sort of super food, after everyone finished their cake, contracts were handed out, the people who wanted in signed, Blythe wasn't hesitant she signed quickly, Max waited to see if Elle would signed, she looked around, people with smiles on their faces, she looked down at the piece of paper, almost willing to sign her life away, "Just sign it Elle.", she looks up at her sister, "but-", "Just do it Ellie.", the girl does as told, scribbling her name on the paper, setting the pen down quickly, not regretting it, just something she didn't expect, not out of today at least, she was now owned by a Luther, owned by the best of the best, what would come next for her? Death? Or life, love, and happiness? Friendship, heartbreak? Maybe she was overthinking everything, she had to adjust to the life she was now being forced to live, normal life.
