Chapter 2: Notes

I walked down to breakfast and sat at the Gryffindor table next to Ron. They all turned to look at me wide eyed.

"Hi," I said. I didn't know if they were mad or if they were going to talk to me so I figured I would start.

"Bloody hell Emily, barely anything from you in weeks and now you just say hi?" Ron said. Mad. Great.

"I'm sorry guys, I've just been busy with quidditch and classes and homework-"

"And moping over a boy," Hermione added thinking I couldn't hear.

"Hermione!" Harry reprimanded her which was surprising.

"I'm sorry that I haven't been around much but I've taken on a lot and it's taken over my time."

"Then why now did you decide to come to breakfast? You feel better because you saw George last night?"

"Ron how did you know?"

"I'm his brother he came to see me while you were in quidditch."

Ron and Hermione got up from their seats and left the table. I closed my eyes for just second before Harry brought me out of my head.

"I really should go with them," and with that he was gone too.

I put my head down on the table closing my eyes. I couldn't believe them, I was moping sure, but I had so much on my plate it's not like I had free time to hang out with them whenever I wanted.

"You alright?" My head shot up in response to the voice, Draco really couldn't just leave me alone.

"Look, I know you don't like me and you have no reason to with everything I've put you through and I'm really sorry if that means anything. There's a Slytherin party on Saturday you should come," he walked away without allowing me to respond. I didn't want to go to the party but maybe I should. I have a few friends in Slytherin and it would be nice to get out.

I stood up and took a deep breath before walking to class.

As I was writing down the properties of Felix Felicis my notebook starting thumping next to me. I ignored it continuing to work. Although, George kept writing. He knew I would be in class so surely he was doing this to be funny. I flipped the notebook over only for the back to start doing the same.

"Ahem, is that something you'd like to share with the class Ms Bennington? It seems someone has quite the message for you."

"No professor, my apologies."

"It's alright, could you put the note book away so it's not distracting the class?"

I nodded knowing he was letting me off easy. If Snape was still the teacher he would've taken house points.

I shoved the notebook in my bag and continued listening to the lesson.

Once class was dismissed I grabbed the notebook and opened it while walking to class.

Miss me yet? Here's what I'm thinking for our next visit...

I began reading the note as my eyes went wide and I slammed the book shut. He really left quite the visual.

Herbology went by slowly but Neville always made it more fun. Afterwards I headed straight for the captains office to spend my free period. I grabbed my notebook and wrote quickly.

Mr Weasley you have quite the imagination.

He must not have been busy as he immediately starting writing back.

Only when it comes to thinking about you Mrs Weasley. I have to get back to work but do share your thoughts on my earlier note. I love you.

I shook my head and smiled. As much as I missed him and worried about this not working, moments like this got rid of any doubt even if it was only for a matter of minutes.

The week went by rather quickly and as Saturday started coming to a close I decided to go the party. I put on my jeans and my quidditch sweater and went down to the dungeons.

I entered the common room and was met with plenty of laughter and extremely loud music.

"Hey Emily I didn't know you were coming! You need a drink!" Blaise put his arm around my shoulder and brought me over to the table pouring me a cup of fire whiskey. I accepted it since I knew Blaise quite well.

"I'm really sorry about your breakup."

"What?"

"You and George."

"We didn't break up."

"Oh, I just thought, since you know he left you guys would've broken up."

"Well we didn't."

"Got it. Sorry."

I took my drink and walked away glancing around for others I knew. I saw Draco dancing with a guy I didn't know. I don't even know why I'm here. I snagged one of the bottles of fire whiskey and put it under my shirt quickly heading to my dorm.

I sat down in the window and pulled out the bottle. There was no point in even pouring it since I was alone. I took sip after sip barely noticing the amount left in the bottle.

The door to the dorm creaked open and I turned quickly. I had a single dorm so no one else slept in here.

"What's wrong love?" It was George. He always seemed to know when I needed him. Even when he wasn't near.

"Nothing anymore," I said. I looked down at the bottle and noticed it was half empty.

"Emily-"

"Don't lecture me please, not tonight."

"I was just going to ask you to hand me the bottle," he sat down behind me and I leaned back laying on him. He traced his fingers lightly up and down my arm as the goosebumps formed.

"Every second you're not here hurts more and more."

"I know Love but, it's almost over."

"I'm only in my 6th year George-"

"Hey, I'm not going anywhere love."

I turned around and leaned over pressing my lips against his. I put my hands on his shoulders and crawled into his lap sitting on his thigh.

"You've set high expectations for yourself with your letter."

"And do I ever disappoint?" He smirked and grabbed my chin pulling me back in.

Ok so finally back with chapter 2. IM SORRY. I'm really trying, I'm just depressed and have no motivation. BUT next chapter will be interesting ;).
