Chapter 2- Malkia

Malkia had a somewhat similar story to Mfalme's.

She was the daughter of a single father as her mother died during the birth, Malkia would tell everyone who asked that her father was an incredible parental figure, while he had no obligation of taking care of her because of the believes that men shouldn't raise their children, he was always a present and loving father.

This of course, brought him and Malkia a lot of backlash, but neither of them cared, as long as they had each other, everything would be fine, Malkia never grew without love and even without a mother, she never felt lonely.

Malkia's father was one of the strongest guards Zamani had, which gave him and his daugher some benefits since the need for a strong guard was bigger than the tradition of the role the father's had, so they always had food and a place to live, nothing abundant, but it was enough, and even though his job kept him busy, he always made sure to spend time with his daughter no matter what.

Malkia was always really smart, she was able to solve problems that others struggled with and come up with effective solutions that her and her father's lives easier, unfortunately, because of her position and especially her gender, she would never be able to fully use her intelligence, after all, only members of the Zamani cult were allowed to take decisions and Malkia was nothing more than another object for them to be entertained with.

Malkia's father was the exact oppositve of the leaders, he was gentle, understanding, kind, accepted and took into consideration his daughter's ideas, and he made sure to teach Malkia about her worth and how valuable she was despite what the traditions said, he never cared about the consequences of his attitude, he only cared that his daughter was able to grow up happy, as least as happy as one could be in Zamani.

Malkia became good friends with Mfalme, not only because of their similar values that went completely against the stablished standart, but also because, for the rest of kids, Malkia was also a freak, maybe even more than Mflame, not only because she was a girl that didn't tolerate any mistreatment, something very few people, especially girls, would dare to do, but also because just like Mfalme, she had bicolored hair, blonde hair with blue locks, even weirder colors than the ones Mfalme had.

So Mfalme and Malkia spent a lot of time together, something their parents approaved of, they were really glad that their children had found a genuine friend.

Unfortunately, things would also change when Malkia was a teen.

Her father was one of the first to realize they were being attacked and the first thing he did was to put his daughter in a safe spot, he knew he would probably die in battle, but as long as Malkia survived, it was enough for him.

Malkia stayed hidden between some bushes for a couple of minutes, she was unable to fully analyze what was going on besides the fact that Zamani was being attacked.

Suddenly she noticed a shadow approaching and worried that it was one of the rogues, as the shadow came closer though, she realized it was Mfalme, he probably also escaped.

After approaching her friend and questioning what they were going to do, Mflame told her what his plan was, and while most would have called it stupid, Malkia agreed, things needed to change.

For now, they would leave, but soon the sun would rise with their return.

And Malkia would return, she would return as a queen.
