Lost hopes

Finding love again...

Seven years later...

Jungkook had become a workaholic loner after losing his husband. Taehyung had been like the map of his life, guiding him through thick and thin. He had been his support pillar when he himself lost faith in his capabilities. He had brought a smile on his face, just by hugging him tight. And he could warm his heart, just by giggling happily.

But since the day he had lost his husband, he had lost all his happiness, peace and love. Lying in his girlfriend's arms no longer made him feel warm. Being free from his husband's constant chatter did not bring him relief. Getting divorced did not make him feel any sense of freedom. He missed Taehyung's warmth, comfort, laughter, giggles, voice, eyes, everything...

But Taehyung had been wrong at one point when he thought that he would not meet Jungkook again. Perhaps fate wanted to make Jungkook feel what Taehyung must have felt that night. Because some play of destiny did bring them in front of each other.

Just not how they must have wanted it...

Jungkook stared at his ex-husband as he walked in the park. The breeze wafted through his locks, making them flow gently. His lips were shaped in his pretty boxy smile. His face bore the same look of innocence and peace that Jungkook craved. But it was the arm of another man wrapped around Taehyung's waist that caught his attention.

He watched as the couple took a seat on one of the benches in the park. A little boy ran towards them, squealing in glee as he poked the cheeks of the baby girl Taehyung was holding in his arms. The other man picked the kid in his arms as Taehyung leaned his head on his husband's shoulder. The man bowed down to peck Taehyung's lips, causing him to erupt in giggles.

He saw as Taehyung's gaze wandered around the park before landing on his own.

But Taehyung had been right about something. The eyes which were lit with joy a few seconds ago, were devoid of all the warmth and love as soon as they stared at him.

Jungkook stared at the cold eyes of his love for a few minutes. But he couldn't bear it anymore. It seemed like Taehyung did not recognise him anymore. But he did. Taehyung felt nothing emerging in his heart when he saw his ex-husband.

But as Jungkook turned around to leave, his body shook as warm tears cascaded down his face...

His hopes of being with the love of his life were lost completely. He will never have another chance to fulfil the dreams they had seen together. Because he had crushed them too hard by breaking his love's trust...
