Cassondra's POV

The next morning I threw on my leather jacket a black dress and my thigh high boots. I grabbed the locket off the table and took it outside. I placed it on a rock. I picked up my wand. I started shouting every damaging spell I knew. And yet nothing. I stuffed my wand in my boot. I used my magic to try and destroy the locket. Nothing, zip, nada.

I let a frustrated groan. I felt someone grab my shoulder. I already knew it was Harry.
" Let's someone else have a go, love." Harry said in soothing voice.
I huffed and stepped back. The golden trio all took turns firing spells at it. I counted how many times I told them I already tried a spell and they still attempted it anyways. I'm currently at thirty.

Harry got frustrated and picked up the locket. He placed it around his neck.
" What are you doing?" Hermione asked.
" We have to keep it safe. We'll take turns wearing it." Harry tucked the locket into his shirt.
" It's seems strange mate. Dumbledore sends you off to find all these horcruxes but doesn't tell you how to destroy them. Doesn't that bother you?" Ron asked.
Harry looked at him then turned around and walked away.

" I'm not wearing that damn locket." I told them.
" What happened?" Hermione asked.
" It brings out the worst in people. And my worst is deadly compared to most. It made me act like I did when I still wanted to be like my parents. When I was on his side. I can't be that person again." I explained playing with my rings.
" Don't worry will figure it out." Hermione smiled.

I nodded and walked back to the tent. Ron joined me. We listen to the radio on Potter watch. We listened to make sure no one we knew was dead. I bounced my leg up and down. I didn't-no I couldn't hear Fred or George's names, or Bill and Fleur's. Tonks, Remus, Andromeda, Ted, Sirius, Molly, Arthur. My brain listed off all the names I cared about.
The radio host finished the names. I let out a relieved sigh. I grabbed Regulus diary and started reading.

" Do you think we're going to make it out alright?" Ron asked.
I shifted a little. This was the first one on one conversation me and Ron have ever had. Well one where I wasn't threatening him, good times. I placed the book down.
" Yes I do. I think there is nothing the famous golden trio can't do." I told him.
" What about you?" Ron asked.
" What about me?" I asked.
" Do you think you will be okay after this?" Ron asked.

" I don't think I'll be here after this." I admitted.
" Why do you say that?" Ron looked at me.
" The good will always win and the wicked will parish. I've done too much bad to be considered good." I explained.
" I don't think so. I think you will win along with us." Ron said.
I raised my eyebrow at him.
" Are you worried about your family?" I changed the subject.

" Very. Are you worried about yours?" Ron asked.
" Yes. I don't have a big family on the right side but I don't know how I'd function without them if something happens." I looked at the radio.
" Their tuff. They will be fine. I mean I met your great aunt. She's the scariest person ever. Must have some of her in you lot." Ron joked.
" Walburga Black has nothing on your mom when she's angry. When She yelled at us at the Order meeting I swear I'd would have rather been back with my father." I laughed.

Ron laughed as well.
" You know I think as Harry as family. Hermione also." Ron said.
" I know it's very sweet. Your guys friendship." I nodded.
" I think of you as family too." Ron admitted.
" Really?" I asked.
" Yeah, your kinda like my sister in law. Or that's at least how I see you." Ron blushed.
" I love that. So your my brother in law then." I chuckled.

" Yeah I guess." Ron smiled.
" Let's protect our family. All of them." I stuck out my hand.
" Let's protect our family." Ron grabbed my hand and shook it.
