Saturday

The weekend. Usually a time for students to catch up on assignments, or pull through a hangover after a night of binge drinking from a frat boys shoe.

For me. It's a 9 hour shift at Randy's Handy Hardware Store :) A place that requires all workers to wear a tacky buttoned up flannel and grey apron with a wonky hammer patch sown to the front. I'm like the least sexiest lumberjack there is.

You can't see this but I'm smiling through the pain:)

"Sakura" My manager calls. "Go see if that guy in the far aisle needs any help. He's been here for ten minutes already"

"Sure no problem" I reply before heading towards the back of the store. Standing there is a tall boy dressed all in black, wearing a pair of boots that look kind of similar to mine. They're actually pretty cool, definitely more expensive then mine, you can tell just from the leather material.

What?

I got a thing for boots.

"Can I help you with anything sir—." My throat freezes when the guy sets his eyes on me. Correction. Sets his doe eyes on me. "You" I blurt, and he just looks at me with a blank expression. "Y-you were on the rooftop that night"

Ignoring me the boy just goes back to looking at the stock on the shelves, brows furrowed as he scans for something in particular. "I need some rope, but none of this stuff is thick enough to hold my weight"

"Oh well we have some in the other aisle" I say before walking past him. I stop to check if he was following me, but he wasn't, not until after a few more seconds of just standing still.

This guys a little off..

But damn. I still can't get over those boots! I want those boots! I need those boots!

"Erm we have different colours that—."

"I don't care about the colour" he interrupts me.

"Well. If you'd let me finish I was gonna tell you that each colour represents its strength for certain weights" I flash him a grin. "You see red is for bricks and constructional objects, purple is for planks of wood and crates and black is for human use" I add before grabbing to pull some of the black rope from off of the hook n wrapping it around my arm. "Do you do rock climbing or something?" I ask.
