Stopping in her tracks Sakura tugs her earphones out. "Woah are you trying to murder my eardrums!?"
"No but the volume of your music will!"
Pressing her lips shut Sakura decides to pause her song. "Too loud again?"
"Just a smidge" her roommate Kirsty grins before ruffling her friends hair. "Anyway I asked if you were having breakfast. I got a whole box of cereal left that needs to be eaten before tomorrow and I don't wanna waste it"
"Why tomorrow?"
"Well cuz I won't have time tomorrow when I'm packing"
"Wait" furrowing her brows Sakura looks Kirsty straight in the eye. "Y-you're actually moving?"
"Yeah"
"I thought you were still looking for a place I didn't know you'd found somewhere"
"Well my dads found me an apartment closer to home soooo.."
"...oh"
Tilting her head Kirsty shows an expression of sympathy. "Come on Sakura you know the city is too crowded and noisy for my taste. It disturbs my morning yoga and I'm sick of having to ride the bus or subway whenever I want a decent cup of coffee. Besides, you've found someone else to pay rent right?"
"...yeah ..y-yeah don't worry about me I'll be fine" Sakura replies with a forced smile and a sentence full of pure bullshit. She had no other friends besides Kirsty. No idea. No plan.
"Well look if you're not eating you might as well get to that class of yours. It's already half past" Kirsty nods at the clock before taking her cereal bowl and coffee to her bedroom.
And that was that. No further discussions to be made.
Kirsty may be Sakruas only friend, but they weren't exactly besties..

Sakura PoV
You know, people would say it's sad to be staying in on a Saturday night. And they're right. But hey it's not so bad, I'm half way through a tub of ice cream and almost done with my photography assignment. I got Billy Joel playing through my speaker and have just put new batteries in my fairy lights :)))
