Chapter One
Lydia's POV
"Guys, can you please shut up for five minutes? I'm trying to listen to them!" I exclaimed to Jeremiah and Logan, who wouldn't shut up. They didn't understand that Louis could possibly be remembering things about me, and that I really needed to know if he was. Currently Harry, Niall, Liam, and Zayn were talking to Louis.
"Sorry Lyd, Logan won't tell me where he hid my shirt!" Jeremiah said matter-of-factly; while he tried to wrestle with Logan.
"Look, I do not care about your shirt at the moment! I am trying to see if Lou remembers anything. You all need to understand that he is my world and I have to know if he's going to be okay!" I turned on them. But seeing that they had hurt expressions on their faces, I softened, and walked over to them.
"I'm sorry, this is just super important to me. Please try to see where I am coming from." I whispered whilst resting a hand on one of their shoulders. They both nodded.
I went back over to the Louis's bed and sat on his legs, staring down at his perfect face. I still couldn't believe all this was happening. But thank God, Jere and Logan are here with me. They've taught me so much about what it means to be an angel and how I have to fix my unresolved issues before I can formally become an angel. In case you're wondering, at the moment I am a spirit. No, I'm not a scary spirit that tries to haunt everybody they come across; I am an unfortunate twenty year old that was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
"Hey Lyd," Logan quietly whispered, "we have something to teach you, I think it'll really help right now." He said, they both got up and walked towards me.
"Okay, what is it? I'm willing to try anything at the moment." I replied simply. Jeremiah reached up and put his hands on each one of my temples. I suddenly got jolted into a different place. It was Jere and Logan's old house. They were both sitting around a small TV watching a rerun of Friends; I looked closer and realized they were about ten, not nineteen.
But before I had the opportunity to say anything to either of them, I was pushed back to the gloomy hospital.
"WHOA, HOW DID YOU DO THAT?!" I exclaimed excitedly. Logan smirked at Jeremiah.
"It's called a 'touch'; It's when a spirit touches your temples and sends you a certain memory. We think you could try to do it to Louis and send him what happened on that night." Jeremiah explained slowly so I could absorb all the information.
"Okay. I think that could work. I mean he will be able to comprehend it, right?" I questioned. I wanted to be sure that if I tried this, it would work.
"Yes, of course. You just have to visualize the memory in complete detail, and then send it to them." Logan said, adding to Jeremiah's explanation. Wow. This could really help boost Lou's memory recuperation. I just needed to figure out what memory to send him. I didn't want to overwhelm him and send my memory of my death night. I thought about it for a moment then thought of the perfect one.
"Okay, I think I am ready to try this. But I'm just going to start slow though; he needs to remember me fully before I bombard him with my death." I told the two boys who had been watching me with a glint of confusion in their eyes.
I slowly walked back over to Louis's bed, and sat back down on him. The other 4 lads had already left him and he had continued to watch the stupid soap opera on the television.
I raised my hands up and placed them gently against his temples, I felt him flinch under my touch, unaware as to what was happening. I cautiously thought of the memory and began to send it to him.
