Chapter Three
Lydia's POV
I couldn't bear to see him cry any longer, so I walked over to the bed and laid down beside him. He was muttering things in his sleep, asking what he had done to deserve this.
"Shhh, baby you didn't do anything." I murmured rubbing his head. "Sometimes things happen for a reason, and that reason isn't always known. But believe me; you did nothing to deserve this, fate is cruel." I whispered into his ear. I knew he couldn't hear me, but it made me feel better to know I had said the words aloud.
I continued lying there until I was crying myself. He didn't deserve to be going through any of this, he was an amazing person. I didn't know how long I was lying there, but I knew it was awhile. I slowly rose up from leaning on Lou's chest to see Jere and Logan sitting on the couch, awkwardly looking at the ground.
"Guys, I think I'm good now. It just hurts so much to see the boy I love in that amount of pain." I said to them. They both looked up at me with sorrow-filled eyes. Logan stood up, walked over, and gave me a hug.
"Babe, it'll get better, he will begin to remember more things, it just takes time." He told me quietly.
"Yeah, I mean you can't expect him to just hope back up after that kind of an accident." Jeremiah said.
"All you can do is keep giving him occasional 'touches', the one you did yesterday seemed to spark a bit of remembrance." Logan explained. I nodded and smiled.
"Thanks guys. What would I do without you?" I said sincerely.
"Crash and Burn." Logan said jokingly. Wow, way to ruin a lovely moment. I gave him a look and he and Jere just laughed.
"You lads are rude." I commented, whilst taking a seat in one of the ratty chair the hospital had provided because there wasn't enough sitting for all of Lou's visitors.
"WE KNOW!" They chimed at the same time. I giggled at their idiocy.
"Okay, let's be serious; I think I need to give Lou another touch." I stated bluntly.
"Have an idea of the memory you want to give him?" Logan asked a hint of curiosity in his voice. I thought for a second and then nodded.
"Yah, I want to show him the second time we met, when we actually started talking." I told them. They both smiled in approval.
"Sounds good love, you can do it when he wakes up." Jere said. I shook my head at that. They looked at me confused.
"I want to do it while he's sleeping so he feels like he is dreaming. I don't want him to simply start having something that feels like a vision while he's awake. I think it's best to do it when he is asleep." I explained
"That's very clever of you Lyds." Logan told me.
"Thanks." I murmured. I walked over to his bed and sat down. I slowly raised my hands and placed my fingers on his temples. I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and pictured the memory in full detail, then began sending it to him.......
BEGIN MEMORY
"God Lyd, hurry up! I told you not to pack so much stuff!" Lena screeched at me from across the parking lot. I sighed, she had told me.
"But Lena, I'll need this stuff!" I protested. She snickered at me trying to pull all my bags across the lot at once.
"Yah, you are really gonna need four different bikinis." I cringed; no one was to insult my babies.
"I bet they have a swimming pool, and you won't have a swimsuit to go swimming in." I told her matter-of-factly.
"I don't know about you, but I'M not here to swim, I'm here to further my music career." She told me in her tone of authority.
"That's not fair! You know I'm here to do the exact same thing, I just don't want to pass up the opportunity to have fun." I told her. She sighed, knowing I had a point.
"Okay, just don't forget the sole purpose of us being here." I told her I wouldn't, and she disappeared into the house we'd be staying in, leaving me outside with no way to get all my stuff inside. I huffed, and sat down. I was stubborn, and I wouldn't give into taking my things in separately.
"Do you need help?" I heard a familiar voice ask. I looked up and saw Louis standing above me. I blushed.
"Uh, yeah, I guess." I stuttered. He smirked.
"Lydia, I have a quick question." He said. I nodded for him to go ahead. "Okay, well why'd you pack so much stuff?" I yelled in frustration, and he laughed at me.
.
"GAH, I don't see how it matters the amount of things I pack!" I screamed. He held his hands up.
"Lyd, chill, I was kidding." I gave him a look that could've killed, then softened it when I saw he was truly sorry.
"Sorry Louis, Lena has been on my case about my packing since we left the house this morning." He chuckled.
"Well, let's forget her a bit." He said, and I raised my eyebrow at him. "Let's go get some tea." He said, clearing up my confusion.
"That sounds nice, but I think you're forgetting the fact that my stuff is outside." I told him. He shrugged.
"It'll be fine, babe." He said, taking my hand and leading me to mine and Lena's car. I sighed knowing he wouldn't give up.
Louis and I had been talking nonstop since we auditioned a couple months ago, needless to say, he got through too. We had really begun to get close, although we had only seen each other the one time at auditions, we talked everyday either texting or by phone calls. He was a nice lad, and I could see a possibility at a lovely relationship with him in the future.
I went to get in the driver's seat but he led me to the passenger side.
"Uh, Lou, you can't drive." I stated.
"Sure I can't." He said, flashing me a driver's permit.
