"I DON'T THINK MY MOM WILL LET ME JOIN A CULT"

Julian hates to be dramatic or anything, said literally no one who's friends with him, but he thinks he's accidentally joined a cult.

His mother is going to kill him, actually she was in Slytherin when she went to Hogwarts so that means she was in a cult too. Holy fuck, is anyone in his family not involved in something shady? Maybe, he's a bit sleep deprived because its nearly midnight and his bedtime is normally like eight-thirty and he really wants to go to sleep. But back to the point, Julian James Black, at eleven year olds, may have joined a cult.

His reasons for this, one the whole Slytherin table sung the song and we're looking at each other grinning as if the words had some hidden meaning and they all sung in the same tone and the same speed. It was creepy as hell. Then they left the Great Hall and walked down to the dungeons. Yes, the dungeons. Did he mention they were in the dungeons! Because they are and they've been through so many twists and turns and hallways and secret fucking doors that he's sure they've left the school and now in a hidden building.

It's a bit suspicious, right? And cult like, very cult like. The air is getting colder if possible, its getting darker. So, now he thinks its a cult invitation sort of thing and his mother has a thing against joining cults. He debates telling the prefect that but he doesn't want to be laughed at and he doesn't want to draw more attention to himself. Not that he doesn't like attention, because he does but he likes positive attention.

Like his teachers telling his mother about how great he is at math or his lovely personality. But here he isn't Julian Black, the kid whos obsessed with math and loves people, he he's Julian, the son of Sirius Black. That's all these people see him as, someone whos bound to end up evil. He really doesn't want to end like that bastard, maybe it makes him a bad person but he wishes his mother had changed their last names.

Then they wouldn't have to deal with all the prejudice surrounding them. No one would ever know that Sofia and Julian have anything in common with Sirius Black. Why didn't his mother do that, he wonders. He'd spend more time wondering if he wasn't so freaked out by the fact he might've joined a cult. He should've made the Sorting hat put him in Ravenclaw, Slytherin was a bad idea. A very bad idea.

Julian, you might be thinking, if you don't want to be anything like your Dad, why be in a house associated with evil? What could you have possibly been thinking? Besides the information that he had no control over it, thank you for asking, he would say before replying. It's not that he's stupid, he knows Slytherin is associated with evil and that everyone in his shitty extended family has been in it except for his father who must not be mentioned. But his mother was in it and if he does everything his mother did ( minus dating and marrying a murderer ), he's gonna end up okay.

Yeah, if he wants to admit it, he's a bit scared everyone is right. If the entire world believes it, maybe just maybe they're right because the entire world can't be wrong right? He wants to be a good person, he doesn't want to be like Sirius or Voldemort. He knows his Mum is a good person and if does what she did, he'll end up okay. Even if she doesn't understand anything in math, he can have one thing he likes and still be okay, right?

Sometimes Julian wonders if the world hates him.

"Hey, do you think the prefect's lost," a boy next to Julian whose name he really wants to remember but can't. In his defense, they were a lot of people and it took a while. He stopped paying attention halfway through.

"Or its a cult indoctrination," the words are out of his mouth before he can stop them. He wishes he had a better filter sometimes.

Theodore Nott laughs. "Salazar, I hope not."
