"SO HOW DO YOU QUIT SCHOOL"
In all honesty, Mia hates Hogwarts.
She hates the entire freaking school and everyone in it. ( except harry and she tolerates ron ) Don't get hard her wrong, the food is good and it's the first time in her life she's felt full. Which is nice and yeah, it might take a while to get used to the Dursley's again, but it'd be better than here. Anything is better than here. This school is so suffocating because everyone is happy except her. She thinks she hates them all, she needs to get out. But she has to stay, she has to stay for Harry. Unless he's leaving, she's stuck because she doesn't want to be alone.
Even though she feels more alone each day that passes. Everything thats as natural to her as breathing is leaving.
Every morning, at seven-thirty, on the dot, the bell rings. And everyone starts grumbling about getting up. Muttering how it was so much easier when their parents woke them up and how it sucks to have to get used to this. She's already up, Aunt Petunia always wakes them up at six-thirty to make breakfast and she's not good at breaking habits. ( she doesn't want to get used to this school )She sits there, wrapped up in blankets, and while it is nice to be able to move at night and not have to worry about hogging the blankets, she still has to get used to being alone.
She thinks it'd be a lot worse if they hadn't gotten their own bedroom this summer. One with two beds and a closet and they each can have some space that's just theirs. It's nice and she would never been able to fall asleep if that hadn't happened. But she doesn't get much sleep anyways. She now has dark circles that look like bruises under her eyes and Professor Sprout keeps saying she should go to Madam Pomfrey for a sleeping draught. But she doesn't want any help from the people who ruined her entire life, so she doesn't go.
And it's fine. She doesn't want magic.
Her roommates are nice, they smile in the hallways when they see her and it's the first time anyone's ever done something like that for her. But they know all about magic and formed some sort of club already, a club whose invitation she couldn't understand and she doesn't even know if she wanted to. It's all too confusing, at least home wasn't confusing. Parvati Patil is nice, she's great at Charms and has this really cool collection of barrettes and chokers. Lavender Brown has a pet bunny and she tapes pictures of it on the walls. He's really cute. Clary Friar is really good at Herbology and is always drawing, sometimes on her hands.
And Hermione Granger, where does Mia start? She's probably the most annoying person Mia's ever met. She always tells Mia what to do, even in Transfiguration, which is something she excels at and is better at it ( don't tell anyone that she doesn't hate transfiguration ), so it's just annoying. She's always minding other people's business and but she's smart and gets Gryffindor house points. And honestly, Mia doesn't plan on saying anything cause the last she needs is to hurt someone's feelings and have them hate her while being stuck in a school she hates. It'd be even more of a disaster.
