We'll be together again someday

It's time to start

A few days had gone by and they had heard people say something about a person new after them. They already knew it was Robotnik.

"Eggman? That's his name?" Sonic said and they started laughing and he remembered another part.

'He now is someone new.'

"That is the stupidest name I've ever heard!" Knuckles said.

"I'm gonna go for a fly. Wanna come?"

"Sure."

Then they headed to the Tornado and flew away.

When they stopped they split up by accident.

"Knuckles?" Sonic said but didn't see him. "Hmmm. Guess I have to go looking for him." he said and ran.

Meanwhile someone was elsewhere in the forest being bullied. One bully was holding him back, while two others were looking at an invention he had made.

"No! No, please don't! Leave it alone, you guys!" he said as one of the bullies raised a large stick.

"Aah! No! Keep away!" he said but the bully broke the invention anyway.

He took it and started walking sadly carrying the broken invention. Then he caught sight of Sonic stop nearby, look around and heard him say something.

"Where did he go?" Sonic said then took off again.

"Whoa, that guy's cool! I wonder where he's going?" he said and followed him.

A few minutes later he was on a beach, and discovered the Tornado parked there.

He climbed inside.

"Wow, this plane looks pretty fast! But I bet I can make it even faster." he said.

Then he started tweaking the Tornado and even repainting it. Unknown to him, Sonic was standing behind him.

"What do you think you're doing?" Sonic asked so he turned around.

"Sorry, but when I see a machine, I can't help myself. I hope you don't mind I changed the engine to make it faster." he said.

"Hm. I like what you did with the color, too."

He chuckled.

"Come and see what else I did."

"So... You've been following me around all morning just to check out my airplane? Or is there something else you want?"

"Well, you see, I like to build and repair stuff. So they all make fun of me. You looked cool, so I followed you, and when I found your plane, I figured I could fix it up and we could be friends! ...If you want to."

"Well, what's your name, pal?"

"Miles Prower, uhh, but my friends call me Tails."

"My name's Sonic. Nice job, Tails. I could use a mechanic and another friend."

"You mean that?"

He winked and gave him a thumbs up.

"You bet!" he said. "I have another friend somewhere else. We've been sticking together for a while and fighting Eggman. Team Sonic is the name. So you can join it." he said.

"Cool! I get to help you with Eggman!"

Sonic smiled.

"Come on, let's go find my other friend."

So they started looking around.

Then he heard something.

"Sonic?"
