TW: G*re
The harsh, freezing wind of the Abyss howled as it made contact with the surface of the castle. The old fortress's windows rattled and the portcullis shivered ever so slightly.
Lumine, the Abyss Princess, sitting on her dark silver throne, blankly watched the trees rustle. There was no joy in this for her. Only determination.
Suddenly, her chamber door loudly opened, and in came two Abyss Mages, one Cryo and the other Pyro, holding a man, who was heavily beaten and bruised.
"Your Highness, we have brought a...special guest." The Pyro Mage announced.
"Really now?" Lumine asked emotionlessly, not moving an inch from her throne, "Who are they exactly?"
"A spy working for the Knights of Favonius," The Cryo Mage explained triumphantly, "He goes by the name of Barolt."
As soon as she heard the Mage's description of the man, Lumine shot up from her seat and walked slowly towards him.
"So...the Knights are sending spies now? Oh, how the mighty have fallen."
"P-please, don't kill me!" Barolt begged, "I-I have a family! I have a wife a-and two beautiful daughters!"
"It matters not. They'll die and decay. That is the fate of all living things."
"O-oh yeah?! You've probably never even loved anyone to begin with, you evil witch!"
Lumine immediately pointed her crescent-hilt sword towards Barolt's neck.
"'Love' is a fickle term, spy," she said, in a tone that shook the Mages to their core, "And don't even think about judging my abilities. I am the leader of this Order, and you shall respect me as such."
"Oh, I get it," Barolt half-chuckled, "You want me to reject the Knights and pledge my allegiance to you?! Ha! You've got another thing coming, witch! The Knights will find this place, and as soon as they do, they'll burn it to the-"
"Silence!" The Cryo Mage shouted, casting a spell that froze Barolt's legs and waist, "Her Majesty will not be insulted in such a crude manner!"
Barolt started to cry out in pain, his lower body becoming numb.
"Your Highness," the Pyro Mage said, "This spy is proving to be quite...useless to our cause. Shall we have the honor of executing him?"
Barolt began to squeal and wail like a small child.
"It seems that even the most courageous adventurers fear the might of the Abyss," Lumine replied, as she lowered her blade.
"Let me make one thing clear, spy. The Abyss will not be silenced by a few pitiful knights from Mondstadt. It will ravage this world, and many more to come. It does not care for your pitiful lives, for you have caused our suffering."
Then, Lumine raised her sword.
"This is the Princess's decree."
With a violent slash, Barolt's head was sent flying to the farthest end of the chamber.
His neck spewed blood like a fountain, and his body, still frozen at the midsection, became covered in crimson.
