Chapter 5

Gingerpaw followed Hallowstar into camp. It would be half a moon until her and Oakpaw were warriors. Hallowstar was impressed at Gingerpaw. She seemed to be the best at hunting, climbing, and running. She was also very cunning, she used the trees to leap out and pin Hallowstar down. Oakpaw was watching Frostbliss and Suntail sharing tongues. He hoped when Frostbliss moved into the nursery with kits, he would get Quilltail as his new mentor. But probably not in time for his warrior ceremony. He was very strong, and brave as well. He captured Amberglade and Brightsongs' hearts, but he didn't know which one he liked better. He looked over to see Blacktail staring at Gingerpaw, and he looked back at Frostbliss. He was getting stronger and bigger every time he went to train with Darkscar. Oakpaw couldn't wait until he would be a warrior, and then maybe even Deputy and leader. He couldn't stand why Gingerpaw wouldn't want to fight to gain something back, instead she wanted to talk things out, make peace instead of enemies. Hallowstar jumped onto the high rock, but everyone was already outside. "I have an announcement." That was when everyone noticed the two cats behind her that looked like they were rogues. "We have two new members in the clan. A warrior, Hailfall, and an elder, Appleleaf." Some of the clan cheered while the rest looked hostile. "I except you be a good clan and respect Appleleaf, playing a very good role in the clans, as well as Hailfall."
