" Ye kya mazak hein , Farhad ?" Raghav blurted out in anger .
Farhad who was standing there did not answer but bent down his head .
When Raghav did not get any answer, he looked up to Farhad and saw a letter in his hand forwarded to him with his head down . He snatched the letter , opened it and read the first lines. He froze. It read ,
" Dear Ghamandi Rao ,
You have always been a great human being in terms of care , protection and also a friend . I have always been in a dilemma to believe which side of yours , the Ghamandi own or the super sweet one . But you made me believe in the sweet Ghamandi friend of mine , that's you .
You must be thinking why I am being so good with words about you , why j wrote a letter to you . You are absolutely correct in the sequences of your questions. I don't have any dare to come infront of you and say these words or either bid you a goodbye after all these months of staying together. I just can't .
You have been an absolute gentleman since 5 months and I have to admit that I owe you one for the undying bond of friendship you have gifted me for the lifetime . You have taught me to build your own ground when no one gives you one . You have showed me how to maintain a friendship. You have told me how to stay your ground when you are not wrong . You have inspired me to see through life . You have pushed me to limits to make me realise that I am limitless. You have outgrown me to become what I am today. If only I could repay you , I would have given away this life to you but seems like even life is being unfair with me . I have to let go off what is more precious to me and this happens to me every single time .
I am sorry that I left without informing you because if I did I might loose the courage to even walk away from you , let alone leave . As a token of gratitude , I have given you the worst thing you will ever face or thought of . I had to . I had no other choice. I hope you will forgive me for this act though I know it's not worth of forgiving.

He was confused after reading this. He opened the papers from the envelope. They were bond papers . He just couldn't believe his eyes. He completely froze and eyes were blurred. The papers fell down from his hands and farhad watched this with utter silence. He did not understand what he must say to his Anna to comfort him from the shock he received.
Yes ! They were divorce agreement papers.
This was the gift pallavi had sent to Raghav as a token of gratitude.
Raghav fell to the couch in utter shock and disappointment. He couldn't believe that pallavi actually did that . He remembered that fateful night when he made her sign the contract to get married to him for a period of one year.
Flashback:
R : "ye lo !" Handing her the papers.
P : " ye kya hein ?" Looking at them
R : " contract hein , sign karo "
P : "contract ?" Asked him shockingly
R : " Han .... Mein ne banwaya hein ... Hum donon ki shaadi ka contract hein . Ek saal ki shaadi hein ye bas , aur baad mein dono azaad ho jayenge "
P : " aur tumhe lagta hein ki mein ye sign karungi ?"
R : " aur nahin toh kya ? Kab tak bandhe rahogi tum yahan ? Mein nai chahta ki meri waje se tum ye natak zindagi bhar karo "
P : " fir Amma ko kya bologe ?"
R : " yahi , ki hum donon ka jama nai isi liye alag ho gaye "
P : " aur wo maan jayegi ? Yakeen karegi ?"
R : " mushkil hein par ho jayega "
P : " Nahi ! Bilkul nahi ! Aisa kuch ani horn wala hein aur mein nai karungi "
R : " koi zabardasti nai hein ! Soch lo ! Kyunki abhi bhi tumhara bhai mere kehne par jail mein hein aur tumhare baap hospital mein "
Pallavi closed her eyes in disgust. She was already in trauma that she had to agree to get married to him out of helplessness and now signing a contract has added the fuel to the fire. She opened her eyes knowing that this will not change her fate . She looked up at him with red eyes and took a step forward to stand exactly in front of him. He was surprised by her eyes and her action. He stilled himself. She took out the pen from his pocket and signed the papers in a quick action. He flinched at her touch but did not show. She handed those papers by grabbing his hand and left.
He was watching her retreating figure and felt something in his heart .
Flashback ends
He closed his eyes and was controlling his feelings which were unknown to him . He had never thought that this day would come and he would be as helpless as she was , on that day.
Raghav had flashes of all the time spent together, with her , in all these 5 months . They did not even think about these fateful consequence of one mistake . They were enjoying each other's company, each other's care and each other's bond of friendship.
Her face, her eyes, her smile, her cute pout, her fake anger, her touch, her proximity, her tears, her fear, her vulnerability, her confidence, her success, her progression, her small victories, her childish side.......... Everything , everything made their way to his mind and heart behind the doors of his closed eyes. She was his guilty pleasure. His peace in a world full of chaos. His go-to person for every problem, every pain, every happiness he had.
How did this all change ?
He had no idea of this contract as he was completely living his life to the fullest with her . When he actually returned today with her favourite butterscotch ice-cream as a token of his defeat for their silly bet yesterday , he did not trace her in the entire house. He thought she must be off to her boutique or some other work , but teh empty house reverberated a completely different vibe to him . He felt something was not good but pushed his vibe aside to wait for her. When Farhad informed him that she's not home and left , he questioned him for playing a prank with him, by teaming up with her.
The whole world seemed to be upside down for Raghav. He opened his eyes and picked up the papers from the ground . He saw the only words that caught his attention from the entire paper,
Her signature against the name
