I was tired. I really was. The millions of abyss mages were annoying to defeat over the 1,000 years of war. I stood there in shock of Venti's painful form. He looked like he was suffering. I couldn't move. My feet were glued to the ground. I was so tired I couldn't even move my legs.
I sighed of relief when the goddess turned away from Venti with no interest. She continued to admire his gnosis.
"Finally after a 1,000 years!" laughed the Goddess.
The boy named Aether flew down by the goddess's side and informed her that every archon was dead except Morax.
I felt angry. I hated that goddess. I hated that boy Aether. If he and his sister hadn't come here in the first place, this wouldn't have happened.
Stop. Those are selfish thoughts. All they wanted was to get home.
I spaced out for a while and that's when I heard..
"XIAO LOOK OUT!" yelled the voice of Morax.
I snap out of it. Right in front of me the goddess aimed her deadly cubes at me.
"GETTING RID OF YOU WOULD'VE MADE THINGS EASIER!" she yelled. "THIS IS REVENGE FOR TRYING TO WASTE MY TIME!"
I shut my eyes and waited for the impact.
