"Kamo-san!" A male's voice called from across the school yard, belonging to a tall boy with a head of spiky, jet black hair. He was joined by a shorter boy with white hair and a tall collar in his uniform.

An immense presence had entered the space, far more powerful and imposing than Anzu currently was, even she found herself shying away from the cursed spirit that now stood before the three students.

Kamo wouldn't have the energy to fight another special grade head-on, Anzu realized, especially when this one was clearly content with its intent to kill. Anzu's leg was still tightly wrapped in Kamo's crimson binding, evidence that he was aware she was still conscious and uninjured, but she knew he would have to release eventually in order to focus on the new threat.

"Why is there a cursed spirit at the college?" Kamo was asking now. "And who put that screen up?"

Megumi, the Tokyo first year, shook his head grimly. "I don't know, but they're probably on the same team as this guy. I think this is the same special grade that attacked Gojo-sensei a while back."

"Tuna mayo." Inumaki suddenly spoke, raising his hand in a call gesture.

"You're right." Megumi nodded. "We should give Gojo-sensei a call."

"W-wait." Kamo's face was nothing short of incredulous. "How do you know what he's saying?"

"Does that even matter right now? We don't know whether this curse can use domain expansion, so our best bet would be to retreat to where Gojo and the other teachers are—"

Anzu gasped suddenly when the curse struck, moving at frightening speed despite its hulking size. It materialized behind the boys and in a single swipe, knocked the phone clean out of Megumi's hand.

"Don't move!!" Inumaki yelled.

"Exorcising saw!" A blade of razor-edged blood shot from Kamo's hands, not at full power but strong enough throw the curse off balance while Megumi and his shikigami rained down their assault.

"Stop this, foolish children." The curse, Hanami, suddenly spoke. It was an eerily disturbing feeling, his voice penetrated their minds and resonated all around without any particular origin. "All I want, is to protect this planet. The forest, sky, and sea, can't take it anymore. They're crying. Coexisting with humans is no longer possible. They understand that there are humans who are kind, but how long can we expect this compassion to last? All they wish for, is time. Time, without humans. Die, and become part of this new age!"

This angered her.

"If humans and curses cannot coexist, then what am I?" Anzu's voice entered the fray. All four turned to see her striding down the stone courtyard, her ruined uniform jacket flowing behind her like a cape, the long sleeves like snowy white wings. Without her top, they could see her cursed features clear as day: an open cavity below her rib cage, her spine shifting and swaying with her strut, her breasts and arms decorated by thick venation coursing with the violet blood of curses. The closer she got, the more grotesque she grew, her fair skin turning transparent and a crown of grisly white bone protruding from her neck and scalp, tree branches moved to take over the lower half of her face and blossomed with fat pink flowers.

She looked a lot like Hanami, a nature spirit, but for her it was merely the traits Lady Aoki carried from her domain. Anzu limped, Kamo's technique was heavy and his blood was acidic and hot on her tender skin, but she kept her gaze fixed on her target.

"Don't let her get close!" Kamo yelled, spurring the rest into action.

"Nue!" Megumi clasped his fingers together, and a large rapturous creature erupted from the shadows, ginger wings crackling with lightning.
