"Yes" he said while lowering his head.
"That- that means your the leader of the "Serpenti Neri"?" (Translation: Black Snakes)
"Sí, I am" his head rose and he stared to face me.
"I've been looking for you for years" I said aloud. I may have came off as rude but im kinda pissed. A place I've always gone just so happens to be where their hiding/working I guess.
"What?" He questioned. Shit I probably confused him.
"Sorry my name is Ares, Ares Russo"
"The Ares Russo? As in the heir for the Italian mafia?" I nodded and the mans face looked shocked.
"What are you doing here?"
"My father sent me here to find you guys"
"He's looking for us?"
"Yes, we've been looking for years, ever since you guys lost contact"
"Sorry about that, I didn't mean to it just happened."
"It's fine"I replied. It's not fine. I dedicated my free time and basically life for you guys. They better be worth it, and that's my Ted talk.
"Now where is Davina?" I asked wanting to meet the women I was chosen to marry.
"I'll go get her". The man left the room and I was left by myself, trapped in my thoughts.
Was I actually going to meet my future wife today? I never liked the idea of actually meeting her. I thought since the two lost contact that the deal was off, but no I've had to search for her for years.
I didn't want to meet her because then I would officially be a "taken man". I like being free, sleeping with other girls, getting drunk when I want and etc. I'm not a man whore.
Being with Davina would change that. I'm scared she'll tie me down and forbid most of my hobbies. I was scared of a girl I'd never met.
Was- my thoughts were cut off when I heard the door knob twist. The gold knob turned and finally opened. The girl from earlier appeared in front of me.
"What am I doing here?" The girl asked.
Was this her? Was this the girl I was terrified of? She's beautiful but is she going to be a nightmare for me? Beauty can be a bitch sometimes.
"This is Davina" Sebastian said.
"Hello" I said while putting my hand out for her to shake. She shook my hand confused and said
"Hi I'm Davina". She stepped back still confused and looked at her father.
"What am I doing here?" She asked again.
"Davina I'm so sorry I didn't tell you sooner" her father said.
"What's wrong dad?" She asked. Her brown eyes looked sad and her emotions were all over the place from what I could tell.
Sebastian was telling Davina what was going on and the lies he told her when she was growing up. He said he lied to "protect her". Her eyes were glossy and looked as if she was about to cry.
"Your a mafia leader? Dad that goes against everything you've ever thought me." Her voice was weak and on the edge of crying.
"I know Davina and I'm sorry" he said.
"Dad I went to law school, I learned the laws to follow and whats legal and what's not". Her voice started to crack.
"Dad isn't this wrong?" She asked with a tear rolling down her cheek.
"Yes but you were born into it, it's your birth right and your my heir".
"I'm the heir?" She asked.
"Yes sweetie you are"
"What does he have to do with this?" She asked while looking at me.
"A long time ago I made I deal with the Italian mafia, an alliance that would make both of us stronger"
"Dad what did you do?" Her voice low and tears running down her face.
"I'm sorry my love but you are to marry him"
"What?" She asked confused.
"Preparations for your wedding are being made now, Davina you are going to leave with him. Your going to Italy"
