Chapter 2.

Today is the day, I'm going to a hearing school. I get out of bed and put on some clothes. I walk downstairs and grab a banana to start my day. I turn around and see my mum.

"Goodmorning" she signs and I sign a goodmorning back. "Ready for school?" She signs and I nod with a smile. "Your intepreter will-" she signs but I stop her

"an intepreter? It's like having a stalker!" I sign fast to let her know I'm mad. I don't need a freaking intepreter, I can handle this myself.

"Yeah, she will help you with your classes." She signs and I sigh.

"No mom, I won't talk to the intepreter and I won't listen to her either." I sign slowly "I can read lips." I say while signing and my mum sighs.

"If that's what you want." She signs and I nod and bring my hand to my chin to make the 'thank you' sign.

We walk towards the car and start driving to my new school. We drive for a little while and then I look at the school. Woah this is freaking huge. I get out of the car and wave to my mum so she can leave.

I walk towards the school while looking around and I can see people staring at me like they know I'm deaf. Don't worry Harry, they don't know. At least not yet. I walk in the school and spot my intepreter she starts signing and I shake my head.

"I don't need you, I can do this." I speak very slow and she nods. I grab my schedule from her and walk away with a smile. This is going to be awesome. I walk towards my locker and open it. I put some books inside when suddenly my door slams close. I turn around and see a boy standing there. He starts speaking and I frown and look at his lips. He's talking way too fast to follow.

"Could you talk slower?" I ask and the boy sighs.

"You must

new here." The boy says and I nod "I called you twice but you didn't react." He says and I sigh. "You should learn how to react when I call you." He says and I nod.

"Sorry, I couldn't here you." I said and he laughs before putting a hand on my shoulder.

"I almost screamed." The boy said and I smile a bit awkward "what are you? Deaf?" He says and I immediately look down. I looked up again to see the boy laughing.

"I'm" I signed and the boy stopped laughing "deaf" I signed and the boy laughs.

"Why are you rubbing your face?" The boy says and I sign 'I'm deaf' again. "Oh wait, you really are deaf?" He asks and I nod. "So you really can't hear me?" He says and I nod. "Dork." He mutters.

"I can read your lips you know?" I speak while doing some signs and he facepalms himself.

"Oh yeah, stupid of me." He smiles. "So what's your name?" He asks and I sign my name. "What?" He asks confused and I smile.

"Harry" I say while doing my name sign. "This is the sign for my name." I speak slowly and the boy nods.

"So what's my sign name?" He asks and I shrug my shoulders.

"You have to make that yourself." I say while doing some signs just because I'm used to do that. The boy makes some weird ass hand movement.

"Like this?" He asks while doing it again and I laugh. "What's funny?" He says while doing some weird hand movements.

"No I don't wanna make out." I say and he looks confused at me. "You just asked if I wanted to kiss." I speak slowly while doing the hand movement he made. "So what's your name?" I slowly ask.

He says his name but I don't know what he's saying, is he saying an 'l' or an 'o', I have no idea. "Could you write it?" I ask while signing and he nods. He grabs a small piece of paper and writes his name on it.
