Deaf. [L.S]

Chapter 4.

H a r r y

"How was school?" My mum signs when I enter the house. I throw my bag on the ground and drop myself on the couch.

"It was horrible." I sign and sigh. "I set fire to the school kitchen." I sign fast "and now I have to take the stalker." I sign and I feel the tears coming up again.

"Oh sweetie." My mum signs and pulls me up into a hug. We hug for a little while and she pulls away. I look at her with tears in my eyes and my mum starts to sign "Lets make something for the chef." and I nod.

My mum grabs some of the stuff for me and we start making little chocolates. I hope she won't be too mad at me since I almost burnt down her kitchen.

We finish the chocolates and I'm very happy with it. They taste pretty good, my mum thinks they are delicious. I really like making chocolates.

I walk upstairs to my computer and look for new recipes that we can cook in class. Not that they'll use it anyway but that's okay. My mum taps me on my shoulder and signs that dinner is ready.

"This is delicious" I sign to my mum and now I know where my cooking skills come from. My mum signs a 'thank you' and we continue eating our food. This is truly amazing.

We finish dinner and my mum and I watch a movie. It's really boring. I stop the movie and put a movie for the deaf in. It's hilarious, everything goes so slow because they have to sign so in a murder scene they will be so slow with saying 'please don't kill me' it loos hideous and hilarious.

After the movie I get a shower and get in my bed hoping for a good night's rest. It takes a while before I finally fall asleep.

I feel my body shake a bit and I open my eyes to see my mum. "Goodmorning" she signs and I mutter a goodmorning. I get up and my mum leaves my room I put on some simple clothes and top it of with a small hat. I brush my teeth and fix my hair.

I walk downstairs towards my mother and we eat some breakfast. I grab the little box with my chocolates and my bag after we finish breakfast and get in the car.

"Hi" Louis signs when I walk towards the school and I sign 'hi' back. We walk into the school towards the kitchen where I spot my intepreter. I walk towards the chef and my intepreter follows me.

"Hi" I say so the chef can hear me and she turns around. When she sees me she starts frowning, I don't think she expected me to come back. "I wanted to say sorry," I speak slowly while grabbing the box with chocolates "so I made chocolates." I say and open the top of the box so she can grab one. She chews on the chocolate and she looks at me.

"This is delicious!" She says and my intepreter starts signing. I turn to my intepreter to stop her and smile.

"I know what she said, I'll tell you if I need you." I say offering her a chocolate as well which she gladly takes. I look around and see the girl from yesterday talking to her friend while looking at me.

"What is she saying?" I ask my intepreter and she looks at me. "Comeone, I can handle it." I say and my intepreter starts signing. ''The deaf boy makes this class look bad'' she signs and I sign a thank you.

"Don't slow down the lesson for me." I say to the chef and turn around with my box of chocolates. I walk towards Louis and I can see the girl laughing at me. Probably because I have an intepreter. I turn towards the girl and sigh.

"I would offer you a chocolate but you might catch being deaf."
