Hero names

(Two days after the sports festival)

Ringggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg-

"What?" I ask, burrying my face on my pillow after turning off my alarm. 

Ringgggg-

"Oh my god!" I scream at the top of my lungs, sitting up then looking at the time.

School started at usually 7 a.m. but it was already 7:13, frantically getting up, I go to the bathroom and quickly shower, using my quirk, I redirect the water in my hair so it's dry already.

I brush my hair then throw my uniform on, running down stairs and nearly falling flat on my face because of tripping, I regain my composure. The kitchen is completely empty, auntie isn't there.

"Shi- uh, oot- shoot! I'm late, I'm late, I'm late." I panic, running out of the house, then quickly going to Akimi-san's shop to buy breakfast on the go.

"Ano, could I get a popsicle and a cracker, not the one with nuts, I'm allergic to those." I hurriedly ask her, she nods and gives them to me in a plastic bad.

As fast as I could, I opened the plastic and started eating while running to school. 'Probably not the best idea but I'm late, and who's got the time.' I think to myself, suddenly I feel like I'm choking.

Looking at the plastic bag and seeing a bottle of matcha with a note saying 'don't rush the food', internally thanking Akimi-san, I drink it fastly, the food goes down and I continue to run to school.

On my way there, I got stopped by a man and a woman. Kind of creepy looking ones too... maybe not.

"You're the girl from UA! Control's daughter." She said, while I just nervously chuckled in the back.

I just want to get to school, they attracted attention of course so I had to run fast.

Arriving at UA made me feel relieved, I looked around to see sensei slowly walking to school, heaving a sigh, then going back to walking to school.

"Gomen ne, I was late because I slept through my alarm." I apologized, quickly going to my seat.

Sensei walks in without his bandages making me relieved. He looked so bad then, like a mummy... or Aizawa sensei.

Aizawa sensei said it was time to pick name, I was so excited, it's time. I love making up nicknames for people so it's time for me to make one for myself.

He also showed us some hero offers, he even wrote it on the board making me extremely nervous. 

'What if I don't have offers? What if Nobody likes me?'

But Aizawa sensei said that we would still have internships even if we didn't have offers which really relieved me.

Todoroki of course got the most with 4,123. Katsuki had 3,556 and I had... I'm the third who has most offers?

I had 3,462. My heart raced, I was ecstatic, I felt like everything was going to be fine, these butterflies in my stomach. I really was going to be a hero.

Katsuki went up first, Midnight sensei and a few teachers were there to approve if we didn't have a good name, or appropriate.

"King Explosion Murder!" He yells but Midnight sensei shook her head, I sighed.

Todoroki and Momo turned around to face me, looking all confused, I only sigh when something bad happens.

"What is it Yukine?" Todoroki asks and Momo nods her head in agreement.

"I don't know what my Hero name is... I have no idea, well I do but it's bad so could you guys give me an idea?" I ask in reply, Todoroki perks up and a few of my friends join the conversation.

"Yukine." Todoroki says, I tilt my head in response. "Your hero name is Yukine." He replies, the class' mood brightens and they laugh.

"How about bend?" Denki suggests, I shake my head. 

They suggest a few things and I shake my head a few more times, Momo gasps.

"Swerve!" She yells, standing up making the class turn to her. She sits again then turns to me and Todoroki. "Your hero name is swerve." She whispers to us, finally, I nod my head.

"Arigato Momo-san." I thank them all, they were very helpful.

I stand up then walk in front of the class, wearing a smile on my face and bringing my white board up to the stand.

"Swerve." I start, "my hero name is swerve, and I can point you to any direction." I joke, finishing my sentence.

The class laughs, Midnight sensei nods her head in approval making my smile brighter and wider. 

'And now to look at my offers, Best Jeanist, Mirko, Edgeshot, Endeavor, and- wait a minute... Endeavor? I got an offer from Endeavor? Well, I could try it. Maybe I could train my quirk.'

"Ano, Momo? Did you say you got Uwabami?" I ask her, Uwabami is my favorite hero, but she didn't offer me her agency so I will settle with the top 2 hero.

"Yes actually Yukine-kun." She replied, I smile at her.

"You're so lucky. Tell me everything that you do when we come back." I whisper to her, she nods and I look at Todoroki-kun.

"Endeavor." He mutters to himself, my ears perk up and I lean forward.

"You too?" I ask him, he looks at me confused. "Endeavor is who you picked too?" I ask again.

"Oh, yeah." He replies, I smile at him.

"I won't be alone, thank goodness. So can we meet up before we go there?" I offer. 'I can hone my skills with him.'

"Yukine." He whispers, nudging me then squishing my cheeks.

"Hmm?" I look at him, confusion written on my face. "Sorry I was in a daze there." I reply, he nods.

We talk a bit more before we he offers to walk me home, but the Bakusquad comes with us.

"Bakubro told us what happened when you guys were walking home." Kiri says.

"What happened?" Todoroki asks.

"Some guy thought he could hit on Yukine because she was wearing a short skirt and she undid her tie." Katsuki replies, anger evident in his voice.

"We're here to protect you, Mina wouldn't let you go so she told us to come with her." Sero adds.

"Of course we came!" Denki laughs.

"For a Bakusquad member, also because we have to protect each other in class 1-a." Mina comments.

"Arigato mina-san." I smile at their gesture.

(I just have to add, when Yukine says Mina-san, she means everyone. When she says Mina-kun she means Ashido Mina. the other times she said Mina-san applies the same rule, also she uses san for older people)

Todoroki and I talk more when he says I can call him Shoto, I wouldn't want to take Endeavors last name as well.

When we arrive home, I thank them again then walk into the house.

'That was the best day ever, I'll thank them again tomorrow.'
