In which Calum and Luke are hanging out at home with Stefan when Lillie and Michael come over with a little announcement.
_______
Luke.
*8 months later*
I washed the dishes in the sink after Aaron had made us a great lunch that included grilled chicken sandwiches, fries, chips, fruit, and pop. Right when we started eating, Aaron said he had to leave so that left me, Calum, and Stefan.
Calum had finished eating early to go feed and play with Stefan, which is what he loved to do most. But since Stefan learned to walk, he was extremely active, running around and touching everything. So while I ate at the table, Calum was chasing Stefan around the house, trying to get him to eat his food.
In the end, Stefan didn't really eat and Calum decided to give up. They ended up playing with each other instead.
It must have been tiring because when I looked into the living room for a second time, I saw Calum laying down on the ground, sleeping, with his arms laying next to him and his knee propped up. He also had a hand on Stefan's back, who was peacefully sleeping on Calum's chest. Soft snores left both of them and I couldn't imagine a more adorable scene than this.
This is what I looked forward to when Calum and I finally did get married. I was looking forward to coming home from work, and seeing Calum and Stefan running around the house while dinner was cooking.
After months of wedding planning, we were going to get married, and be together, in a time of three months. I was excited, and so was Calum.
Sometimes I would wake up before Calum, grab his hand, and just admire the beautiful ring that occupied his finger. It amazes me really, that I had grown to love Calum to the point that I had proposed to him. Now, I couldn't imagine my life without him.
Once I had finished washing the dishes and cleaning the table, I heard a loud, frantic knock at the door. Right after, Calum's head snapped up and he quickly looked around. He then saw Stefan on his chest and sighed, putting his head back on the ground. I could tell he was still tired from the dark circles under his eyes.
"Lukey, can you answer the door? I'm in a bit occupied right now," he said, motioning to Stefan.
I nodded. Confused, I walked to the door, unlocked it, and opened it to see Lillie and Michael. They looked worried, and that worried me because Lillie and Michael were the most, worry free couple out there.
"Luke, we have to talk to you and Calum about something," Michael quietly said.
"Alright, come in," I said, moving out of the way. They nodded and walked in, sitting on the couch.
"Lillie? Michael? What are you guys doing here? I really hope this is worth waking me up from a nap," Calum asked, who was still laying down on the ground with Stefan sleeping on his chest, his knee still propped up and his hands folded behind his head.
"It is, trust me," Michael said, roughly.
It must have been serious because Lillie and Michael looked like they looked like a ghost, which is strange for them because they're always laughing and such.
"Stefan is so adorable when he sleeps," Lillie pointed out, but not as loud as she usually does, which I thought was strange.
"Yeah, he is," I said, "Okay, what's up? You guys aren't acting like your usual selves right now and it's kinda scaring me."
"Here, just look at this," Lillie said, taking something out of her pocket.
Slightly frowning, I took the object out of her hand and sat down on the ground next to Calum. Calum sat up, holding Stefan in his arms and rearranging his body in the process.
