Bea's phone was non-stop ringing and getting alerts, she already knows. She just stayed on her bed, she just finished working out. She has already fixed all wedding preparations and canceled them all in one go along with her manager, Patricia. She was caught by surprise when her Dad just came in without knocking. He was holding his phone.
"What's happening, Beatriz, did you really postpone your wedding? Di mo kami inabisuhan ng Mom mo." Her Dad said calmly as he was coming near her.
"Sorry, Dad, I didn't have time to talk to you and Mom about it but yeah, I decided to "lowkey" cancel my wedding," Bea explained.
"Alam mo, Bea, it's normal lang na magka cold feet but you should have given it a little more time."
"It's not cold feet, Dad, it's for my own sanity."
"Bakit? What do you mean?"
"Jigs has been cheating on me. Dipa kami kasal may ganyang issue na sya and I'm sure magtutuloy un kung diko nahuli."
"Did you ask him about it? He might have a better explanation."
"What else is there to explain, Dad. Kitang kita ng dalawang mata ko. They kissed, no, they smooched."
Her Dad just nodded slowly.
"I don't want a life with him kung ganun din naman." Her tears started falling.
Her Dad took her hand, "You will be fine, Bea, andito lang kami lahat for you."
"I know, Dad, I know." She said as she hugged her Dad.
There was a knock on her door, it was Thirdy.
"Mabuti andito ka, ayan kaibigan mo, ikaw lang kailangan nyan ." Bea's Dad said.
Lumapit si Thirdy kay Bea.
"Final answer na un?" Thirdy asked her.
She nodded, her tears falling continuously.
"Does that mean you have chosen to forgive Julia?"
"I have been contemplating on that, diko pa alam talaga. Pabiglas bigla ka din naman kasi."
"Ayaw ko lang magsisi sa huli. The moment I saw that scene, I know, I don't want to live a life that will be based on lies and cheating."
"So, what happened to open relationship?" Thirdy teased.
"Hoy Ferdinand, that's too much, that's the whole way."
"So, is it final?" Thirdy asked her again.
"Yes, it's final. I have already canceled all arrangements."
"That gives Julia more time with Jigs, dika na naawa sa akin." He joked.
"Ewan ko sayo Thirdy. If you still want to marry her, you better find a way on how to really do it and make her stop her dirty ways."
"Yes, Master! Ano, labas tayo?"
"Magpapainom ka ba?"
"Celebration?"
"Naku, baka dalhin mo na naman ako sa inyo. The last time dun mo lang ako dinala."
"Tara na! Fix yourself, you look like a mess to me."
"Che! As if naman kailangan ko magpaganda sayo eh ako na pinakamagandang babae para sayo."
Thirdy smiled and though, could be true.
Pagdating ni Thirdy sa kanila, he was greeted by his Mom.
"Kuya, kamusta si Bea?"
"Getting there, I think."
Ly surfaced with Dani.
"Okay lang si Bea?" Ly worriedly asked.
"Puro kayo si Bea, sya kaya tanungin nyo." He said as he looked behind him.
"Kasama mo si Ate Bei?" Dani asked.
"Joke lang. Hinatid ko na sa kanila baka mag aya pa uminom eh."
Mag kabilang palo ang inabot nya mula kay Dani and Ly.
"Masakit un huh."
"Naku, Kuya, masasaktan ka talaga kung dika aayos." His Mama warned him.
"Cancel na ba talaga kasal nya?" Ly asked.
"Ano ba kasi nangyari?" Dani asked.
Isa isang tumalikod ang mga kausap nya at naiwan si Dani na nakatayo, dipa din alam ang kwento.
Thirdy was alone inside his room, staring at the ceiling, thinking. He heard a knock, he didn't say anything but was staring blankly at the door. He knows it's not Bea because she usually just storms inside his room. It wouldn't be Julia because he knows she will call out her name and then knock. It was his Mama.
"Kuya, usap tayo?" His mom offered.
"Yes, Ma, I think I needed that."
"So, tuloy pa din ba ang kasal nyo? I was just thinking about Bea's decision and how it can affect yours. I just want you to know that no matter what you decide on, we are here for you."
"Thanks, Ma, alam ko naman un but I know the decision should come from me. Mahal ko naman si Julia but talking about it with Bea earlier, it made me think if Julia will be worth it."
"Worth the what?"
"Of my trust, my respect, my forgiveness. Is she worth it all."
"Why don't you sleep it off muna and decide tomorrow?"
"That's not a bad idea."
"Let me know if you still want to talk." His Mom reminded him.
He kissed his Mom good night and decided to call it a day.
