"I'm waiting.." I said with a smirk.
"I was told to give you 20k."
"And I was promised 100k.. that just won't do will it?"
"Please don't. If you kill me, you won't get your money!"

I pulled my gun from my belt, and shot him between the eyes.

"Burn the body." I commanded.
As the minions took his dead body away, my phone began to ring. A familiar number popped up on the screen..

"Hello?"
"Long time, no talk stranger." She chuckled.
"How have you guys been?" I asked.
"Better. The twins just started playing soccer this year. You should see how good they are."
"Oh don't doubt it. Their parents were pretty good at kicking people's balls too."
She laughed.
"You know what today is.."
"Navan's birthday.. and 10 year's since.."
"Yeah.. you okay?"
"I'm better. You know her twin helps me get through it everyday. He's just like her."
"Any plans to quit the business?"
"Gotta keep my wife's legacy going.. until Navan wants to do something else."
"I'm glad you guys are okay. We still on for our trip?"
"Yeah... it's gonna be good to see everyone after all these years."
"Talk to you later. Love you guys."
"Love ya'll too.. bye."

Navan pov
Every time I see her picture.. I remember that day. I wasn't even born yet, and I met her. Sometimes I go back to that place in my brain to see if I can see her again, but she doesn't show up. I try not to talk about her much, for dad's sake. But I always wonder what my life would be like if she wasn't dead. I'm sure my dad does too..
