step seven- invite him to be with me in the yard at night.y/n was nervous. What the heck was she thinking when she made the list? Invite him to the yard at night? She didn't know if y/n from the 'past' had made a mistake or helped her. Maybe both. y/n put on her slippers and walked out her door. It was 7 am, it was weekend. The poor girl did not wake up this early on weekends. but she couldn't go back to sleep. Something was on her mind. Or rather, someone. Katsuki Bakugo, the arrogant boy in her class. y/n had figured out why he was on her mind. y/n had developmental a crush on the boy. There was nothing she could do, it was going to stay that way.
"Mina?" y/n nocked on her friend's door. "y/n? Why are you up so early?" Mina opened her door and invited y/n inside. "I need some help." "What happened?" Mina was wide awake. She loved to give advice and help with secrets. "I have a crush on Bakugo," y/n blurted out. Mina's smile fell. y/n didn't understand why. "Mina? What is it? Are you okay," sat nearer her friend. Mina had heard the most heartbreaking news she could imagine. Her crush just told her she liked someone else. "I'm fine! What do you need help with?" Mina put a fake smile on her face. "I need to know how to invite him somewhere."
(a/n: should I make a Mina x fem!reader when summer break starts?)
The talk with Mina went well. Mina gave y/n some good advice. "Sound confident, make sure to smile but not creepy," those were the 'important' ones. "If he rejects you, don't be sad in front of him. You don't want him to accept your request 'cause you cried," true. The only thing she needed to do now was ask him, and maybe try to bribe him.
"'Suki!" y/n yelled the 'stupid' nickname she had given him. "Don't call me that!" Bakugo turned off his phone. It looked like he was hiding something. "Do you want to bake cookies with me?" 'Smooth, y/n, smooth.' "We've already baked together," Bakugou looked at her in the eyes. "So?" "I don't wan5 to do it again!" Bakugou walked to the sofa and sat down. "C'mon! It'll be fun! And you can keep most of them!" y/n pleaded. "How much?" "60%(percent)," y/n offered. "70," Bakugou said. "65," y/n wanted some herself. "68," Bakugou smirked. "Fine, you can get 68%(precent)," y/n smiled. She would ask him at the end of the day!
"You're finally able to put something in the oven," katsuki commented. "I know, I'm amazing," y/n smirked at him. "Yeah, you think so." "Stop lying 'suki. I know I'm your best friend," y/n tried to hug Bakugo's muscular body. "No," katsuki smoothly walked away. "Hey!" "Wanna play video games?" The teen boy offered. "Yes!" y/n ran to him and jumped on his back. Throwing katsuki off guard. "Get off!" "Never!" y/n laughed at the way she was acting. Bakugo quietly joined. His laugh was pretty, y/n wanted to hear it more. It wouldn't be so bad.
Bakugo was instructing y/n how to play the game. y/n noticed that his hands were making small explosions. But not too big, more like small sparkle outbursts. It was cute. y/n was scared of pointing it out, so she didn't. Instead, the girl took the time to finally be able to admire her crush without something distracting her. y/n's eyes went from this hands to Bakugo' face. The now calm boy had a little smile displayed on his face. And y/n understood that she would start listening. What if he got mad about her not listening. y/n wouldn't risk that. y/n wanted him to be in a good mood.
"Thank you, I understand it now," y/n smiled at her crush. "I just helped you since I didn't want to play against a bot," Bakugo turned around, the 'sparkles' were getting bigger. "Hey, are you okay?" y/n pointed them out. "Do you need some ice or something?" she was getting worried. "I-it's fine, I'll just get some water," Bakugo stood up and walked away. "I'll go with you!" "No! I don't need your help!" Bakugo didn't mean to sound like that, but y/n already understood it wrong. "Sorry."
Knock, knock. y/n was trying to contact katsuki. "'suki, I don't know why you're acting like this, but I just need to ask you something." "What," he opened the door abruptly. "I, well um," y/n found it hard to form the sentence, but then remembered what Mina said to her 'sound confident'. "I wants to invite you to the yard today, at night," y/n stood straight and looked him in the eye. Bakugo was stunned. He had never really seen her like this before. "Katsuki, I need and answer," y/n clapped her hands together to make a sound. "No, go away."
y/n was in her room. Guess what she was doing. She was crying. Over a boy. That boy was katsuki. Pathetic, that was what she thought. He had absolutely rejected her, being rude and cold. y/n did not know what she did wrong. His mood just switched. It was quick. he had told her no, and she accepted it.
"I guess I don't need this anymore," y/n dramatic ass was about to delete the list she made. It was hard on her. y/n didn't know what she invited him to, but the hoped it would be some kind of date. He didn't want to, as mentioned before. Knock, a simple knock was heard trough y/n's room. She wiped her tear stained face, and looked at herself in her mirror quickly. She looked decent. "Hello?" her sore voice said as she met with a familiar face. "I'll come tonight."
Step seven, done ✔️
