Some of you may recognise this story as one I originally wrote for the football fandom - it's still up on my profile, and it's called "Powerful." However I realised recently that the main character of Powerful had some startling similarities with how Dream is written in fan-fiction, and I wanted a break from The Boy with the Arrows, so here we are. A completely re-written book, changed to suit the characters of the Dream SMP, plus a few of The Amigops and Salad Gang. It gave me the chance to add some new scenes to make the plot more specific for the new characters. This is also heavily inspired by Divergent by Veronica Roth - it is written in the Divergent universe and the first few chapters are very similar to that plot line. However my plot is more of an 'alternate ending' to Divergent, so you can't go lining up Dream and Techno with Four and Eric, Jordyn doesn't match with Tris, Imane doesn't match with Christina, etc. You do not need to have read Divergent to understand this book.

Dream and Jordyn live in a world divided by five faction groups. At the age of twenty one, they'll be given the choice between staying in their faction of birth, or transferring to a new faction. The choice will be a permanent one, and will determine their entire future. And always, faction before blood.
However, there are those who transcend these groups. They are known as the Divergent, and they threaten the factions system which has kept the peace in our society for so long. Divergents cannot be controlled, and they do not fit into just one faction. They are also gifted with powers which are unnatural, and make them dangerous to the rest of humanity. These people are sworn to be destroyed.
So who are the Divergent, and where are they now?
