Dream and Techno were discussing how the first day of stage 2 had gone, when Jord burst through the door to the room they were in. She was so excited she was almost singing, and Dream was more than a little surprised, considering last time he'd seen the blonde, she'd been more agitated than he'd ever seen her before.

"I know what Amina's power is!"

"Do you?" Asked Techno with a hidden smile, raising an eyebrow at her. "The question is, does Amina know?"

"I don't think so," said Jord, losing some of her exuberance. "She was pretty shaken up after her fear sim."

"I don't blame her," said Techno, shaking his head. "It was one of the worst ones."

"How many?" Asked Dream, quietly.

"Ay, privacy, you know that," Techno chided him. "If you want to know, ask her yourself."

"Fine," Dream rolled his eyes. "What's her power then, Jord?"

"She's a healer," Jord responded, glancing at Techno. "If I'm not mistaken. But Techno can confirm for us."

"I'm pretty sure you're right," Techno replied. "I'm impressed that you worked that out, though. How could you tell?"

"It wasn't that I could tell through my own power, it was something she said... she was talking about some guy she saw in one of her fear landscapes who got really badly injured, and she ended up having to leave him to die. It was just in her phrasing - she told us she tried everything but she couldn't heal him. That's not something you'd say if you were trying to patch up a bullet wound until you could get medical attention."

"Oh, I get it," Dream nodded. He smiled at Jord. "You're clever."

"Thanks," she returned his smile.

Techno rolled his eyes at the two of them.

"That's really odd that she'd have a nameless person in her landscape, though," said Dream, his brow knit in confusion. "I don't think I've ever seen that before, it always pulls in someone you know, because that makes it even worse."

"Huh," said Jord, thinking. She ran her mind back over the conversation with Amina, wondering if there was anything she'd missed. Then she happened to glance at Techno, who was looking a little awkward.

"Alright, who was it?" She asked him pointedly.

"What?" Techno tried to look surprised, but Jord wasn't stupid, and Dream could literally read his emotions. Both of them stared at him, until he finally caved. "Okay, I know who it was," he responded. "But I'm not telling you."

Dream was still looking at him, and Jordyn glanced between the two, wondering what Dream was seeing.

"Ah," he said eventually, as though he'd finally understood. He smirked at Techno, and Techno rolled his eyes.

"I hate that you can do that. I need a shield."

"What? Who is it?" Asked Jord, her curiosity almost overflowing now.

"You'll find out one day," Dream chuckled, shaking his head at her. "That's unbelievable."

"Shut up," Techno glared at him. "You're no better."

"I'm literally so confused," sighed Jordyn.

"Okay, well I'm out, if we're done here," Techno finally stood, and picked up the stack of papers on the end of the bench, neatening them up a little, before heading for the door.

"We need a plan of action, ASAP," Dream reminded him. "Now that we've got all the Divergents worked out."

"Yeah, yeah, alright," he sighed. "Tomorrow. I need to talk to my sister, and then I need to sleep. I've watched too many people die today."
