Heavell put her long hair into a bun. She hated having long hair, but she never had the time to get it cut. Why? Because she was busy pretending to be her brother. I'm sure you think she's mental, but truth is, her brother had taken his own life due to the amount of stress at a young age. Both of her parents didn't take his death well, wishing it was Heavell who died, not Haruki (her brother). Heavell had found a list of things he wanted to do before he died, one of the things was to play volleyball and make it to nationals. Heavell wasn't the most athletic person ever, more or so a nerd. She decided that from that day on, she would pretend to be Haruki and accomplish his dreams for him. Plus, her parents would probably love her more. She was tall for her age; People often got the 2 mixed up since they were both 5'1, despite Heavell being 2 years younger.
Heavell looked at her phone and checked the time, seeing she had 15 minutes before the bell rang. It had been 7 years since that incident. Haruki would be 17, turning 18 in a few months, but Heavell had just turned 16. She was not excited for her first day as a 3rd year. She had to pretend to be her brother, play volleyball, and pretend she wasn't dying internally? Yikes.
Heavell put on her uniform. Heavell adjusted the bindings she was wearing. She grabbed a wig and put it on. Heavell looked in the mirror and her eyes widened. She looked like Haruki. She looked so much like him it was scary.
Heavell set a foot outside and immediately felt like dying. She hated school. She hated school so much. Suppressing her emotions, she swung her bag onto her back and started walking towards his school."Karasuno..." She muttered under her breath. She hated it already. She just wanted to go home and get home schooled. She didn't hate school because it was hard, not saying that it was. Heavell passed every class with ease, but she hated it because, well, she didn't know why she hated it but she did.
(Little clarification: Heavell is the same age as Kageyama, so she would be a first year if it weren't for this brother thing.)
Upon entering the school, she saw 3 tall guys. 1 of them had a weird goatee, the other had beautiful silver hair, and the other had dark brown hair. Looking back at the paper the principal had given her, she was supposed to be at class 3A. Class 3A? Where the hell was that?-Looking around, Heavell's cheerful expression turned into a nervous one. She really didn't want to talk to any of the other third years, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
"H-Hi!" Heavell said nervously. The 3 third years she saw early turned to her and smiled sweetly.
"Hello! Are you lost?" The silver head said. Heavell chuckled nervously and nodded.
"I'm new here so I don't really know my way around." She said, more confidently. She realized that her brother wouldn't be stuttering nervously if he was in her position.
"Cool! I'm Sugawara Koushi, and these 2 are Asahi Azumane and Daichi Sawamura. So what class are you in?"
"I'm Fujiwara Haruki, and uh I'm in class 3A." Heavell said with a grin.
"Ah that's so cool! I'm also in class 3A Fujiwara-san! I can show you the way!~" Sugawara replied, returning her grin.
"O-Oh uh please just call me Haruki- it makes me feel more comfortable." Heavell said, laughing nervously.
"If you say so!"
Sugawara led Heavell to class 3A, leaving Asahi and Daichi trailing behind.
"Have you chosen a club yet?" Sugawara asked.
"W-What? Me? Club?" Heavell blurted out at the sudden question, causing Sugawara and Daichi to snicker.
"A club! You know, like an art club, music club, that kind of stuff." Daichi said from behind.
"Oh, no I haven't. But I kinda wanna join the volleyball club..." Heavell said, making the last sentence quieter. She had made it quieter, but not quite enough.
"Volleyball? You play volleyball?" Sugawara asked.
"Yeah! But I'm not that good at it-" She started, "But I'm still pretty decent!"
"Oh that's cool! What position do you play?"
"I can play any position but-"
"Even setter?" Daichi asked, popping into the conversation.
"No." Heavell replied, her expression suddenly turning cold and stone hard. Daichi started laughing at her sudden change of expression and even Asahi snickered a bit. Sugawara dramatically grabbed his heart, acting as if he was hurt.
"As a setter, I feel attacked." Sugawara said, pretending to wipe tears from his eyes.
"You play volleyball????" Heavell suddenly asked, her expression immediately changing.
"Gee bipolar much, and yes I do play!" Sugawara replied, pointing at Daichi and Asahi. "These 2 play too and Daichi here is the team captain so if you want to join, ask him!"
Heavell jerked her head to look at Daichi and batted her eyelashes in a joking manner. She put her elbows on his desk and rested her head in her hands.
"Of course you can join just..." Daichi said, but was soon cut off by the teacher entering the classroom.
The first day was pretty chill. The teacher was really nice to Heavell for some reason, but she wasn't complaining. The teacher handed out a test so she could see what her students needed help with, and it was awfully easy to Heavell. A bit too easy... She tried her best not to over think it but it was very hard to not. Heavell handed in her paper and rested her head on her desk.
"Was the test too hard?~" Sugawara asked, causing Heavell to jump in her seat.
"No it was a bit too easy..." She replied sitting back up. Sugawara's eyes widened at her response and chuckled a bit.
"Well, I guess you're just smart."
The class ended and Sugawara had exchanged numbers with Heavell to keep in touch.
Heavell decided to walk around mindlessly, not really knowing where to go. Suddenly, she heard something come towards her.
