A Date?

 Shigaraki POV

I couldn't stop my body from reacting as he flirted with her, a flash of white clouded my vision and the next thing I knew I was glaring at her with my hand in fists so tight my knuckles were white and my palms ached from  my nails. 

I felt calmer as soon as she walked away, my body relaxed but I wasn't able to bring myself to look up at him. 'Had he noticed the way I reacted? Probably.' I closed my eyes for a second before I heard him speak. 

"so.. " he trailed it off. Exaggerating the word. "Feel like sharing what it was that made you stop paying attention to where you were walking Mophead?"

"None of your business Edge Lord." I didn't mean to snap at him, but he didn't have the right to ask me personal questions if he was going to flirt with someone in front of me. It's just gross and disrespectful, he's lucky I owe him or I'd make him pay. 

"Yes sir, Mister Boss-man." It was hard to hold back my smile when he gave me that 'innocent' cheeky smile and held up his hands in surrender, giving me the win. "Then have you been here before? You seemed to have known exactly where it was, but no one here has recognized you yet."

"Once or twice, yes." I kept my answer vague and focused my attention o n my drink as if it were the most interesting thing in the world. I gently stirred my straw in circles around the cup, watching the mini tornado form in the bottom of my glass.

"The food any good then?" I heard his words, the question and curiosity in it, but I couldn't retain what he was saying. 

My mind started to go blank soon I could only see a deep gray light around me. 'Am I still moving my straw? My hand?' It was so hard to tell, all I felt was numb, and a bit panicky. 

I shook my head freeing myself from the trance, the thoughts that had begun to go through my head. A tan and deep purple flash crossed my vision back and forth a few times.

"Hey...." His voice was strangely muffled, but slowly cleared itself up. "Hey. Tomura. Are you okay?" His voice was louder now, all accept my name, that he whispered, almost as if he was unsure he should be using it. 

"I'm fine, I'm fine." I waved my hand vaguely hoping to dismiss him before returning my hand to straw. I didn't stare at anything hoping to keep myself from dissociating again. "I'm just hungry.." I muttered out rather quickly, really trying to play it off that nothing happened.

"Okay.." His tone showed he was still quite skeptical but I ignores it, I was just happy he decided to stop pestering me.

I sat up slightly, pushing my now half-empty cup aside so the female could put our food down. The smell instantly rushed into my nose and I unwillingly released  a content whine which I believe was the cause for Dabi's snicker.

"What the hel-" I cut him off abruptly, hearing his amused tone of voice, "No! Shut up-"

This time he cut me off my shoving some noodles into my mouth. I shot him a glare but ate the noodles anyway, not wanting to waste them. I kept quiet as I dug into my bowl praying he'd stay silent too.

"That would be me." It stayed a comfortable silence until that girl came back at the end and asked how we'd be paying.

"Alright I'll be right back with your check. Enjoy the rest of your date!" She walked away before I had a chance to register what she'd just said. 

When I did finally realize I could already feel my face and ears burning with embarrassment and I immediately pulled my hoodie strings to cover my face. I couldn't even bring myself to look at the girl when she came back let alone at Dabi who's gaze I felt flickering on and off me. I swiftly handed her a few twenties without looking and left quickly, without getting my change. 

Once again I didn't bother looking back to see if Dabi was there, I had a feeling he already was, and just continued my way down the sidewalk. There wasn't a particular place in mind just somewhere away from people, absolutely not returning to the base like this. One look at my face and Dabi behind me toga would lose her shit, stupid fangirl.

;-; My apologies I spent like a full week with a creative gap and did the last few sentences today. If anyone has ideas lemme know please, I don't want this to fan run but I'm completely open to suggestions! I will definitely work on writing more often, though I do have 21 days of school left and quite a few project I need to complete to pass this year T~T Enjoy the rest of your day and your reading! <3
