Y/N'S P.O.V

My small legs carried me down the stairs and I wandered back to what happened earlier. I surely took my time in pulling myself together. Giving up should never be an option, that's something my father taught me. No matter how the situation is right now, it all will be a past some day, his voice echoed in my brain and I remember promising him to never give up on myself, but that was exactly what I was going to do an hour ago. My heart broke all over again as I thought about my family, but I didn't let tears escape my eyes. It's ironic how I'm not afraid of dying at this point, yet I don't want to die.

Death. To me life's greatest paradox is that death is the meaning of life. The only reason our lives have meaning is that they end. Every single experience that makes our life worthwhile goes back to time being over. No one wants to live forever once they've lived long enough, and yet dying is what we all are most afraid of.

I sighed and shook my head, I've always been the one to think deeply, wisely as people put it. A 11 years old to have such thoughts came off as a surprise to most people, but then again I was never an ordinary child, and I believe maturity doesn't have anything to do with age.

My hands caressed the railing of the staircase, the metal feeling cold against my hands. The feeling soothed me somehow. The whole arena was quiet, too quiet for my liking. It felt like a silent before the storm, a storm I want to hide from.

My footsteps were slow and steady and from the corner of my eyes I could see various pairs of eyes observing my movements. I felt uneasy under their gaze, judged too, but then again I'm not the one to pester over judgment by strangers, so fuck their opinions.

Chester: "Sit".
His authoritative voice rang in the silent room and I nodded at his command, taking a seat beside the boy who I was close to killing a while ago.

Chester: "A lot has happened to and it must be traumatizing you, but I need you to know that I'm here for you. I'm willing to offer to you protection and everything you need".
Business words coated with genuineness, I knew it all too well. Nothing is offered for me.

Y/n: "What do you want me to do in return"?
He looked taken aback by my response, as if it was the last thing he expected me to say.

Chester: "You can't give me anything, you're like a daughter to me--"

Yoongi: "Cut the crap, dad".
The silent boy beside me spoke for the first time since my arrival downstairs. His voice was emotionless and cold, he seemed uninterested in the conversation, but nonetheless stayed seated with Rubik's cube in one of his hands.

Chester: "I'm a mafia, Y/n".
His eyes searched for some sort of reaction out of me after his revelation, but at this point, I wasn't even surprised.

Y/n: "Okay".

Yoongi: "He wants to help you take revenge on the people who destroyed your life".

Y/N: "How"?

Chester: "I found the man behind your destruction".

END OF FLASHBACK

Third person's P.O.V

Unknown: "If this plan fails, we lose her and everything goes down the hill".
The man on the other side of the call let out a dark menacing chuckle at his statement.

Man: "You've been working in his gang for a reason, and this is the only chance to get that reason back here. I'm sure I know what to do".

Unknown: "I'm risking it all because I care for her, and I swear on fucking god if your men fail to kidnap her today, I'll kill you with my bare hands".

Man: "You know you can't, but I'd love to see you try and you know I never fail. I'm getting my possession back, I'm not going to let this opportunity go, she's mine, I'm not letting her go".

Unknown: "I hope your actions speak louder than your words, Jeon Jungkook".
