"A new path unfolds."

What felt like hours turned to mere minutes, The flight from Korea to Japan was brief in her point of view.
One moment, she was was holding her rifle, and then unequipping it at the next. Removing her gear and wearing a casual outfit right after getting ordered to pack all of her things.
Now in a completely different place, a property, a home that she will be living in starting from today.
Her benefactor; Allmight, was he?
He had done a great help to her rights as a human, and most importantly, her freedom. The man knew of her condition and flew to South Korea almost as immediately to retrieve her.
Hukushima Konomi has no idea about how he has done it. Him pulling her away from her manipulative superiors, but perhaps, it was his hard earned reputation and power as the symbol of peace that has backed him up to be able to get her.
She appreciated his kindness, really. But a person like her who experienced an everyday war simply cannot trust a person that easily.
Konomi might have been rescued, but what if they only did that to reuse her for their own gains?
She has seen it all, the scums among the heroes she has killed, the corrupt seeking for power and more power in a country she used to served for.
A knock from her door has pulled her away from her thoughts as she settled her book down onto the table.
Standing up from the couch in the living room, she walked over to greet an unexpected guest.
She twisted the doorknob and opened the door, and there she was met with a pair of unexpressive black eyes staring at her own.
"Mr. Aizawa..." She acknowledged the man's presence with a greeting, her voice coming out deep as always. She had invited him inside for a cup of tea but he simply refused the offer, saying he won't be staying here for too long.
"I'm assigned to keep watch over you, so we'll be seeing each other a lot." He spoke with his hand in his pocket, and his other hand holding a bag.
"How's it? Is there anything you'd want to change to your liking? I've personally chosen this estate because of it's environment, you'll be having fresh air everyday."
He continued speaking, his gaze on her stayed unwavering despite of the fact she had killed more than he could count, yes, he is completely aware of who she is.
"I appreciate your efforts, Mr. Aizawa."
Konomi politely bowed, flashing him a small smile to show her appreciation. No matter the place, she was trained to be well-mannered at all times. As for the appreciation she displayed, it was genuine. After all, She's not completely heartless, so there's no need to be so aloof and cold.
"And there are no things that I wish to be modified, everything here is enough, beyond enough, actually." She said, smiling.
"Seriously, you're being formal for nothing." He brought his unoccupied hand up to his nape with the very same unexpressive face never faltering.
"It's not necessary. You're not facing your so-called higher-ups anymore, so better settle down." Shōta Aizawa said with nonchalance, clearly telling the woman to calm down a bit.
Something almost went unnoticed, but his eyes caught such tiny detail anyways. The way her eyes briefly softened at his words and her shoulders going relaxed, Aizawa felt something akin to relief.
"Here are the clothes and uniforms UA has provided for you, double check if they've actually received the wrong body measurements so we can do some readjustments."
He handed her the bag and She accepted it without any complaints but a small thanks.
Suddenly, a ringing was heard from his phone and he was swift to take his phone out from his pocket. After looking at the name of the caller, Aizawa looked at the woman once again.
"Excuse me for a bit." He stepped back to create distance. She didn't intend to hear his conversation with whoever, but she cannot help but overheard everything because of her enhanced hearing.
"From the way I see things, She's adapting quite well at the change of scenery." The man with long black hair spoke with his phone held against his ear, calmly glancing at her direction from time to time.
"Is that so? What a relief!"
She heard another voice coming from the phone and she has no idea about who it might be.
After a moment of them having a conversation which fortunately didn't take too long, The tired man put his phone away and approached her again.
"Allmight will be coming to visit you soon to discuss about your future, and I'll be accompanying him." He stared at her observing eyes before he looked away.
"Alright, so call me whenever you need anything. See you, kid." He handed her his contact number that was written down on a piece of paper and then he told her farewell before leaving.
What an odd guy, this is the very first time Konomi has ever seen a man appearing so homeless and authorized at the same time. He certainly carried himself with confidence.
Outside of the property, Hizashi who was waiting by the gate approached his black haired friend.
"Well?" Present mic asked him with a shit eating grin on his face, making finger guns.
Completely aware of what the blonde meant and looking quite done with him, Aizawa didn't bother answering present mic's question and he continued walking with the blonde following close behind.
"She's quite the looker, huh? And I saw the way you gave her your phone number over there. Never knew you can be so bold, man!" He gave the tired man some thumbs up.
"Lower down your voice." Aizawa calmly told him, appearing careless. "And I'm only doing what I was told."
"Ehh, yeah, sure." Hizashi shrugged but he wiggled his eyebrows soon after which Aizawa only sighed at and they continued their short trip back to UA.
