Chapter 3: 1v1

Months have gone by now and me and Aidyn have grown closer over time.

Aidyn and I both stayed up until 3 in the morning texting and getting to know each other.

I woke up the next morning and the sun was shining mad hard through my blinds which was crazy because it's usually ass crack of dawn when I wake up for school.

I laid down for a few more minutes until I finally came to my senses and checked my phone, it was 9:30... I was an hour and 30 minutes late to school.I put on some leggings, a black sweatshirt and my ankle length ugg boots and rushed out of the door.

I pulled into the park parking lot across from the school and before getting out I put my hair in a messy bun and gathered my things to prep for another draining day of school.

I walked into English class 30 minutes before the class ended and took my seat in the back of the class next to Aidyn who had his head placed on his desk sound asleep. At least I know now that I wasn't the only one tired. I tapped Aidyn's shoulder in attempt of waking him up he lifted his head and turned the other direction so I tapped him again and he lifted his head, squinting his eyes from the bright light in the classroom and gave me a slight smile.

"Oh wassup Myracle, when you get here?"

Literally 5 minutes ago, I overslept.

"Damn, you overslept and still managed to get here looking that good?"

My cheeks got hot as hell,  I know he knew I was blushing.

Thank you, and for you to have kept me up all night you don't look too bad yourself. But put your head back down, the bags aren't a good look.

He playfully pushed my shoulder

" I was about to go back to sleep anyways, you may have gotten enough beauty sleep but I didn't. Send me a picture of your notes when we get home though"

I know this boy did not tell me to send him my notes when I've been in this classroom no longer than he's been awake.

The last 25 minutes went by slowly so I had enough time to copy a classmates notes. The bell rang and I packed my supplies in my backpack and walked to my next class. 7th period came around and it was gym class so I got my things and walked to gym.

I placed my backpack in the bleachers and started stretching. Our coach was the football coach so he could care less what we were doing if it didn't involve his players. There were 2 basketballs on the half court line so I took one and started shooting around.
I wouldn't say I was the best player on earth but at the same time I'm far from ass. I've played basketball since I was 8, so I have a few skills. After putting up some free throw shots I heard someone say "check" from behind me. When I turned around of course it was Aidyn.

I knew he was a hooper because of how he carried himself so what were the odds that he wouldn't try to to 1v1 me. I bounced him the ball and rolled my gym shorts up and he put his backpack down and started crossing the ball through his legs. He was lackin and bouncing the ball right in between us so I took the chance to take it from him. He didn't expect it so he hesitated to come guard me. When he finally moved it was too late because I was driving the ball to goal for a lay up and scored just that easy on him. I looked over and raised an eyebrow and said

Damn, where's the D? You let me score on you like that?

"Man this was just a warm up I'm not even trippin fr"

Was it a warm up or are you about to get yo ahh swept by a girl?

"Shit talking don't look good on somebody already holding an L"

Put your money where yo mouth at and realize I'm up 1.

He took his hoodie off and got back on the court. His handles were valid so I started sticking him for real. I could tell he was avoiding being rough with me like he would really be on the court with his opponents so I had to push his buttons. He went up for a shot on the 3 point line and it was nothing but brick but it bounced back to him.

Keep shooting like that and you could build your dream house with all them bricks.

" yo chill see what happened was...."

"Ain't shit happen, pass me the ball boy" I said laughing.

He passed me the ball and I faked him like I was about to drive and threw his footwork off.

"I hope you like crawling cause them ankles gone get took before the game end." I said looking him in his eyes.

We went on for the whole class making shots on each other back to back. We finally got tied 26-26 and I had the ball. I drove it to the goal and went up for my layup and he managed to smack the ball from my hands. We ended the game tired and tied and shook on a good game. We both went to our separate locker rooms and freshened up before we went home.

I left out of the locker room and Aidyn was waiting on me by the door.

"it took you forever man I was bout to dip"

why you out here waiting for me anyways?

"Why you acting like that? I can't walk you to the car?"

I never said you couldn't but if you are you better hurry up .

I went to grab my things from the bleachers and they weren't there.

"I already got it for you"

We talked the whole walk to the car about our 1v1 and the buses were starting to load. His bus was already loaded and he hesitated to run over.

Boy you already walked over here you might as well get in, by the time you get over there the bus gone be pulling off.
