I stayed in town until 9:30 shopping, I didn't realize the time until the mall started to slowly clear out. After going to the register and paying for my things I headed home.
When I got home all I could really think about was going to sleep but I took a hot bath and tied my hair up.
I honestly forgot I even had a phone because I turned it off while I was shopping hoping to clear my mind. Once I turned it on tons of notifications popped up on the screen.
6:57 Jay: wassup ma
7:09 Jay: yooo, you ight?
8:20 Jay: damn, no text back? That's crazy... 😑
10:02 Me: Hey! I'm fine, I just turned my phone off while I was shopping.
10:03 Jay: oh wrd, I thought you was ghosting a nigga 😂
I checked my other notifications and Aidyn texted me as well.
7:02 Aidyn: wyd?
7:30 Aidyn: myracle? 😕
8:39 Aidyn: HELLOOO
9:04 Aidyn: you ghosting me today ?
10:04 Me: Heyyy, I wasn't ghosting you. I went shopping today to clear my mind and I turned my phone off.
10:07 Aidyn: but what if it was an emergency and your ma needed to call you?
10:07 Aidyn: DA 🤦🏾♂️
10:09 Me: Pot can't talk about the kettle idiot.
I texted them back and forth all night along with a few other people who texted me. I went to sleep around 2 in the morning after fighting my sleep for hours.
The sun was shining directly in my face when I woke up which annoyed me. I did my morning routine and took a long steamy bubble bath.
I was supposed to go pick up Aidyn around 12 and it was already 10:30 so I finished up my bubble bath and got ready.
I pulled into the riverfront and texted Aidyn to tell him I was outside. He came outside wearing gray nike sweats , a plain white t shirt with his forces. He had a black fitted on to the back and a Cuban link chain on.
He got in the car and before he could even sit down he already had something slick to say.
"Damn why the seat up so far, can't even get my legs in"
Maybe it's because you're literally 6'5...
"Get off me bruh"
Boy I could've rode yo ass out but I chose not to, first of all you in my car, sec-
"Second of all, are we gone sit here all day like we don't have somewhere to be?"
Boy you just walked out the house no more than 2 minutes ago.
I pulled out of the riverfront and Aidyn asked if he could connect his phone to the radio. He's rode in my car so many times his phone was already saved under the Bluetooth list. As soon as I heard the beat I knew what he was playing his favorite song.
"I put your picture on my mirror
Start to blush when somebody says your name
In my stomach there's a pain

I start to stutter when I speak

He sang those lyrics with every breath in his body.
His favorite part came on and I sang along with him

The song ended and we laughed at how serious we were about perfecting that note.
