Elide felt the mattress shift underneath her and instantly whipped out her hand, clutching to her husbands wrist.
"Don't," she murmured, her face still buried in her pillow, "Not yet."
Lorcan insisted on getting up at extremely unreasonable times to workout, Elide could never understand it. It wasn't like he needed it anyways.
She felt his lips meet her hand, then he softly uncurled her fingers still gripping his swollen arm. She heard him pad into the bathing room, the tap running.
Elide decided he was not aloud leave her this morning.
She unraveled herself from the silky duvet and wiped her sleepy eyes, smoothed down her hair and straightened Lorcan's shirt she had stolen (He still hadn't accepted that it was hers now). It hung to her knees and was so loose, she thought she could stuff multiple people up there with her.
She quietly opened the bathroom door, reminding herself to shut it this time- she still found herself apologising to Gloria, the head maid at Perranth House, whenever she came across her. Gloria, Elide thought, would never step foot in their chambers again.
She spied Lorcan, shirtless in his trousers, washing his face at the sink. She limped over to the towel rack, although, she was certain he knew she was there, picked a towel and brought it to her husband.
His head was still bent over the sink when she pressed a hand against his back and held the towel in front of him.
His eyes met hers in the mirror when he took the towel from her. As he dried his face, she kissed his back while she wrapped her arms around his waist.
When he was done, he twisted around in her arms and held her, leaning against the sink.
He was considerably taller then her. Considerably. And she had to tilt her head all the way to look into his dark eyes.
"You could come with me," He said. His low, husky voice rumbled from his chest and vibrated through her body. His eyes bore into hers, his dark hair encompassing his lean, sharp face. Beautiful, she thought.
"There are many things I want to do. That is not one of them." Her voice was still hoarse from sleep... or lack thereof. "I could watch you..." she smirked at him, resting her chin against his broad chest.
He returned her grin, the one he only saved for her, as he ran a hand through her hair, his other hand latching onto her small waist, pulling her tighter. "Then I'll really have to try," he said, his smile becoming predatory.
He leaned down, pressing his lips against her neck. She answered him by entangling her hands in his hair then running them down his impressive arms. Her body warmed when he gently moaned against her skin. She knew he could smell the change in her when he began to move his hands from the nape of her neck... to the small of her back... to her wide hips... to her back-side... to-
She could feel his feral grin against her neck when she gasped.
She inhaled sharply when he picked her up and held her against him. Now at his eye level, she wrapped her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist. And kissed him deeply.
Another one of his moans had her parting his lips with her tongue, inviting him. He answered by devouring every inch of her mouth. Venturing his tongue over hers, her teeth, her lips. His hands grazed every inch of her, and too soon, she found herself breathless. He always left her breathless.
She was distantly aware of him leading them towards the bedroom, she was still latched onto him, still tasting him, refusing to let go.
He sat her on the edge of their massive bed, careful of her tender foot, and kneeled over her as he lightly pushed her back, mouths still entangled.
