Riren oneshots.

WOLVES!

Eren ran through the woods. The oak trees towering high above him. The calming whistle of the wind or the peaceful chirping of the birds not making it to his large fluffy ears. The calm and peaceful forest was disturbed by the dark presence of hunters and the ear-piercing whistle of bullets slicing the air made a heavy tension in the forest.
Large brown fluffy paws connected with the dull debris carpet, heavy breathes escaped poor Eren's mouth as he ran from the hunters.
"Get me that wolf," A hunter growled as he aimed his gun at the chocolate brown wolf.
The deadly song of the bullet being released caused the forest to go quiet and the birds to fly away. Eren yelped out loudly as the bullet come into contact with his shoulder. The force of the impact caused the young canine to trip over his paws. As blood flowed from the bullet wound, Eren watched the hunters stalk closer to him. As everything blurred, a large black wolf appeared. His silver eyes calm and a moss green collar sat around his neck.

Eren awoke with a fright as the cold metal flooring started to shake. The large black wolf stood outside his confinements as the metal was lifted off the ground. A light whimper escaped the chocolate-coloured wolf causing the ears of the black wolf to perk up. Skilfully, the black wolf jumps up onto the surface of where the cage was being placed. Concern pulsed through the silver orbs as he watched over the smaller wolf.
"What is your name?" A voice spoke in the black wolf's head.
The black wolf looked down at Eren, a smirk on his lips.
"The name is Levi, brat. What about you?" The black wolf replied through the telepathic link.
"Eren."

It has been four hours since the two wolves introduced each other, and Levi continuously looks back at Eren to check on him. As the time passed from hours to days to weeks, Eren continued to heal. Levi kept close to the metal cage as the time passed. After a month of sitting in a cage, Eren started to grow restless and bored.
"Levi! Can I leave!?" he mentally yelled at the other.
Levi looked at the chocolate-coloured wolf to see a bored expression painted across his face. An audible sigh left Levi before he got up towards the cage. He quickly checked to see if any of the people were nearby before unhooking the latch to the metal cage. Eren ran from the cage with a burst of energy before slowing when he realised that Levi wasn't following. Slowly, Eren trotted back to Levi and nudged him.
"Come on. Let's go," Eren whined as he pounced around the larger wolf.
Levi looked at the bouncing brown wolf. The hope that filled his dark green eyes made the larger want to give in.
"I am not leaving. I have... never left them without orders," Levi growled in my head before looking away shyly.
Levi head snapped back around when he felt a nose nuzzle softly into his neck.
"What if we go for a run just around the perimeter?" Eren asked while tilting his head.
Levi looked at the smaller before starting to walk away. He let a smirk grace his lips as he heard Eren jumping around behind him. Before Eren could register what was happening, Levi started running around the camp. Smiling, Eren also started running and playing. Soon both the wolves were running through the camp, playing with each other as the hunters sat and watched. After hours of playing, the two wolves collapsed on the ground in front of the door to the hunter's cabin.
"Levi? Thank you for today," Eren whispered before cuddling into the larger.
"You're welcome, Eren," Levi answered.
Both wolves fell into a blissful sleep.
