A wild evening, wind moaning, trees lashing themselves in a frenzy atmosphere, there was still enough time left for dusk. But the sky over the city was getting darker with every passing minute. It was end of May, summer was almost over.
The air was dry. But the day was very different, it was one of those unusual Saturday, The coffee shop was busier than ever, people bustling around as the strong smell of all different types of brewing coffee filled the air with warmth and coziness. Perhaps in no time, the sky appeared visibly angry. Sudden intermittent brings flashes of lighting tore out from behind the dark clouds. A spell of rain to embrace.
It's been days I have wandered everywhere looking out in the town. I walked into coffee shop. Behind a wide serving area at the counter, it wasn't just a coffee shop. For anything, the shop served all sorts of packages of snacks. Yet one of the special thing about it was things are going to be new again like every other places I visit.
But India wasn't planned but it had all begins somewhere— the fallen mystery.I walked slowly towards the exit, after staying in due to thunderstorms. My hands and legs turn into a quivering jelly due as the breeze hits my face and my hairs flies in the wind as I stepped out of the café, I was about to collapse into ground but I felt someone's strong arms around my waist, his touch feels like thousand volt inside me, as he pulled me up in force.
He looks into my eyes and I am entirely lost in them. As half in relief and half in I don't know, that moment surprised me completely. I walked backwards slowly from encircled in his arms. I looked at him, he smiled.
"Hey, Are you fine?"He questioned.
"Oh! Yeah I mean thank you for the help, yes I'm fine." I replied.
"It's quite not safe to move out now, meanwhile please make your way inside if you like." he exclaimed and walked inside.
I have known too many people but his charming smile damn, I walked to his table and said, "you're on your own, I see. Mind if I join you?" And he didn't not say no.
"please do; he responded."
And then suddenly he received a phone call and walked away in hurry but he turn around and smiled. That was quite strange but deep inside I felt something different. It had been raining all day, cold may rain.
There was noise outside, I opened the exit door and stepped outside. Disappointingly my father and his assistant were soon by my side.
"Come, get inside the car." Mr Varma said.
"Okay." I responded angrily, because I knew what my father was upto. He didn't say a word to me. It was time for me to go. Somewhere.
"I've been travelling." I said looking up to my father.
"Aiyana enough; I don't want you utter a word against me, I told you not to go anywhere without my permission."
"But I just wanted to walk around, you can't keep me as a prisoner dad. I'm not a part of any research that your trying to make a mess around my life." I screamed aloud.
"Shut up!!! Don't you dare again, he shouted."
I kept quite, as I reached home, I ran off to my room and slammed the door. I've been grounded for almost 2 weeks because he had to move afar because of his research project. I needed some space for myself, I'm 17th now.
"Things were never that easy for me, growing up while travelling around the world, trying to learn things and then pack up and move on; I haven't seen my mother in ages,........
"Aiyana, come down stairs now." My dad exclaimed.
Won't even let me write down something in my diary. I spoke to myself and moved downstairs.
"Yes, baba ? Tell me what; I yelled
"You still mad at me? You know right I'm trying to protect you; he replied
"Trying to protect from what? Enough I can't hear it out. Tell me what is it? I'm grown up baba stop treating to me like this. I need some freedom for myself you can't always let me be here in home." I bursted out.
"I'm sorry, Aiyana I can't tell you but it's for your safety."
"Enough baba, I'm tired of this, your a terrible father, I'm moving out for a while, anywhere but not here. When I feel better I'll be back." I said and left the home immediately.
I have no idea where to go, all I can do is just walk through the woods, soil was moist, due to Storm. Wondering what's wrong with my father, he wasn't so tough on me earlier, he let me explore things, however things were changing. Since we came to India.
it's been terrible for me here, wondering why I've been grounded. Anyways I need not have to attend school here because in a month again we're moving to our home town.
While wondering, there was a sudden intermittent bright flashes of lighting again, then came the moment where I found a sparkling necklace laying on the ground, as I moved further towards it.
It rained. Heavily.

Large drops that were powerful enough to disperse the ground. So quite miraculously, the rain only ended up when I touched the necklace.
Indeed it was an unbelievable spectacle, like some film shooting but it was terrifying as well. My first reaction was to scream aloud, I screamed my heart out. Simultaneously, I tried to reach out to the necklace, grabbed it and ran towards the home as soon as possible.
But it didn't end there, it only marked a new beginning.
