"Maybe if we minded our own things, then we wouldn't always fall in trouble."

God, please help me.
"So what do you think Ara? Are you up to the job? Can you do this?" Seun asked, her eyes boring into mine, making me feel uncomfortable. How could I do this? Expose this guy? Seun's words spoke out as if it was an easy-peasy task, but at least my food addicted brain knew how to process the ridiculous risk of the job. Seun made it sound like, Hey, Ara! Go tell this guy to remove all his clothes and stand in the middle of the street! Let us expose him!
Tada! Done!I looked back at my plot scheming director, who was waiting for a reply. "Umm..is there a particular reason? I mean, why do you want to ruin him?" I asked uncertainly and slowly, as not to anger her, which would result in her unleashing her...dark side. Which would make her...Darth Vader.
She eyed me incredulously, and I understood why. I didn't know this sharp-jaw-which I'm envious of-guy who I'm supposed to expose, while the whole wide world with it's stupid, cunning (some are loving though) people might. I switched my eyes to her fleur-de-lis tattoo out of nervousness. The engraved tattoo was peeking from her first-button opened white shirt, the magnificent petals spreading its glory onto her pale skinned neck. It was always my favourite flower, and I remembered the times I used to count the dew drops falling onto it's broad petals shaded with a brilliant violet with my father, who would be standing, with a loving smile on his face, the tenderness of the sepals and the soft flowers reflecting onto his still, young face.
Those old times will never come back. There is nothing you can do, Ara.
I tried to clear those distant memories, memories that I wanted to forget, memories that I wanted to be buried so deep that I would never be able to collect them back. I blinked my eyes twice, also removing the threatening tears that were keen on falling onto my chubby cheeks.
I sigh, not knowing what to do, lost in the tangles of 'I wanna get the freaking hell outta here' mode of mind, when Seun spoke. "The reason why we want to ruin him, lies in your paper, Ara." I just uncertainly looked at her, trying to think what the hell was written so tragically, so spread out, on that stupid paper that made me stand here. Precariously answering her, I gave a stupid reply. "You want to...destroy his reputation? Bring him down from the steps?" I asked, unsurely, expecting a roar from her throat. Instead, her blue eyes lit up like how a very proud mother looks at her brilliant, prodigal son when he gives a correct answer for one of the toughest, hardest questions in the world. "Good," she satisfactorily said, appreciating my once in a while ethical words. "He is one of the most powerful tycoons in the world. Anything popular; any land, any building, any company, any stock, any network you name it, he owns most of them. But our reporters have uncovered something, something concerning his past, something that could bring him down. Since you provided me an upright paper on business and politics, I know that you can read him easily. That is why, you are going to Seoul, as an undercover reporter. I want you for this particular...let's say, mission."
I gulped nervously as she continued her words, each of them stabbing me with dread and making me more tenser. "He is what we call the embodiment of a devil. Spoilt from a childhood and grown up with a golden spoon in his mouth, he has everything that every single person on this round planet could dream about. But he is an arrogant, egoistic, conceited, snooty idiot, who takes advantage of people in order to fulfill his whimsical fantasies," she said, her voice tinted with disgust and anger, and I wondered what grudge could she have against this man. Surely, she couldn't speak such deep words by just seeing him plastered on the glamorous magazines and leisure providing television shows.
I cleared my throat in an attempt to make my sound clear as well as sound more serious. "Okay, but why me mam? I don't think I'm experienced that good to interview such a...a...big-headed idiot but tycoon." Her face turned from the big angry red goblin to show me an amused smile. "As I said, I am choosing you because of the paper you presented. Also, you seem really innocent, pure and really impeccable. This is a major factor." I just stared at her, a bit flabbergasted that she thought of me that way. Maybe she wouldn't think that when she knows the amount of delicious food stuff that I have stolen from this very building. (I'm really broke, please excuse me for doing such stupid felonies.)
"Also, if you do this particular report and bring him down once and for all, I promise you can become the next Kim Lana." That made me open my mind-mouth so low that the real one would have been down the floor if not for my hand stopping it from falling. Kim Lana. God, what I would do for this. This particular opportunity was something I couldn't miss. Kim Lana was the biggest reporter in the telecom industry in Korea. She was part of this company, and she had access to all things you could ever imagine of; no taxes to be payed, villas, and lots and lots of money and features in different endorsement magazines. The only way to become her was to do something that could turn the world's heads which was definitely, hard. But I wanted to be the next her not only because of the rich life of a writer and escape myself out of the stagnant writer position I was in, but because she had the thing that I wanted the most in this world: her own private cafeteria. I will no longer be broke! More pizza!
I analysed the things again. This could bring this tycoon and also propel my career to heights that I could never stand before. This, this particular report , which did not even consist of a single page but thousand actions could make my future set. This could be the last turning point that I have to turn.
After a deep breath and the calm feeling of the cool air running through my veins, down my spine, I spoke. "I'll take it mam." Her eyes looked at me with glee, while I hoped with all the hope that could be there in this vast eternity that I wouldn't mess this up, as I was signing a deal with the female version of the Darth Vader.
Mission: Bring down Kim Taehyung.
