"Sometimes, I wish I could show the world how stupid and nosy it is."

"And after that, he just stood up and walked superiorly to the bathroom as if he owned the whole aeroplane or something. When he came back with a long ass coat wrapping around his body, he didn't even look at me, but instead, he took his black bags from the upper compartment and stormed off. God knows where he went. And I don't care either. Like, how can a man be so arrogant, Joohyun? Such a bastard." I spat bitterly about the equally bitter man on the plane to my friend, whose eyes were wide open, listening to my wonderful story of 'spilling the champagne' with rapt attention, hanging onto each syllable.

After a very few awkward seconds of her staring, she burst out of laughing, clutching her chest while I just mumbled under my breath at how un-serious she was.

I groaned before plopping on the red, velvet couch, whilst Joohyun, still laughing and clutching her stomach sat down. I sighed as she started laughing again after failing to suppress the sound.

We were in our luxurious, warm and cosy hotel room booked by Seun for us to stay. The pure, cream walls gleamed as I stood up to go to the food-filled fridge, leaving behind a wheezing Joohyun to turn the humongous television on.

Munching on the soft kimbap, I watched the Korean version of Bridgeton. I stared at the events of the drama watching as the pretty girl with the blonde hair from the noble family ran to the handsome, stout Duke, pleading him with sad eyes to pretend they were engaged to stop her marriage to an old man. The story was a cliche, where they would fall in love at the end.

If only reality was like that.

I felt my eyes slip into darkness as I closed them, giving my consciousness rest after an eventful flight, and it wasn't soon that I was flat out, forgetting about clinking glasses and angry, arrogant, handsome men.

I woke up to Joohyun's face squished against mine and after making sure she was resting peacefully on the couch, I moved to the sliding door-balcony. It was still early, and the sun's rays were just coming up, lighting up the whole sky. I watched from the top, relaxing my hands on the ceiling, as an old man stepped outside from his peaceful home and moved towards some other old men after stretching his arms out. He joined in their laughter, his eyes crinkling up as he laughed heartily out.

I looked up at the sky, and saw the sun rise, casting it's beautiful sienna rays all over the sky. I felt the warm light hitting my face, and somehow felt full of hope. The hope that the sun gives. I felt full, content and happy, wholeheartedly. Just like that old man.
The sun was in a circle, probably like how life is, like a circle. Through the sun, I felt hopeful.

Something I hadn't felt in a long time.

"Joohyun, get your ass off the couch, let's go! We have a bright day to go to!"

"Wha-at?"

-

"So, according to my stupid boss, the target will attend a lavish, luxurious party tonight. We make a appearance there, and then voila! Show's on, baby!" I spoke ecstatically to Joohyun as I slurped my chocolate-drizzled, peanut covered, vanilla essence-containing, buttery, creamy, velvety, smooth, butterscotch ice-cream (don't blame me, I love ice-cream).
Joohyun looked at me with bored eyes.
"We need a plan, Ara. It isn't easy to just go in and kinda woo the so called 'target' and then bring him down from the big, tyrannic empire he has build,"

I gulped at her words. When did she become so wise with that muddy brain of hers?

But I had other plans for now. Seoul was spread out in front of us, and we had the shiny golden card given by my boss to spend our guts out (and I do mean that, like puke my guts out by eating all the food in the supermarket; yeah that shit can be afforded by the golden card).

"We can form the plan later, now let's enjoy ourselves, Joo!"

-

Dragging her into the big supermarket, I pulled her to the food aisle. I scanned my eyes over all the products, and Joohyun left me after a while in search of what she called, seoul makeup. I don't care, as if makeup would attract me when I have everything that is bigger than make up in front of me. Isn't food much better than the eyeliner that you apply in your eye with great difficulty, only for it to smudge afterwards and make you look a reborn ghost?

I was grabbing a bar of Lotte Ghana chocolate from one of the rows, when I heard the familiar pair of heels cackling. I turned to see Joohyun hurrying to me with a stern look on her face and uh-oh flashed through my mind. Was everything okay?

"We are leaving, Ara." She spoke severely and not giving me a chance to speak, took the chocolate from my hand and dumped it back in the row, before catching my hand and dragging me. "Joo! Leave-what's wrong?! What happened to you! Didn't you get what you wanted or something?!" I turned after getting no answers for my questions, to look at the abandoned shopping cart laden with food that should have been mine.
My beautiful meat pies. Mommy's coming, dears.

"Joohyun-"

"Noona!"

I stood still in my tracks. And so did my friend. But the difference was while I was puzzled, Joohyun was fuming. I tried to ask what the fricking heck was happening here, but I turned back to see a young man run towards us, his black boots clicking on the white marble floor in contrast with his - i'm sure very expensive - crisp suit. He had ebony hair which was tousled, probably after a day of hard work, with beautiful doe and chocolate brown irises and it looked as if he had run almost the whole store in search of us. Breathing heavily, I wondered why he didn't collapse yet. But my breath was taken away when he smiled a shy smile, using his fingers to tug at his ear.

Such a cute bunny with cute bunny teeth.

"Noona," he breathed out again and I noticed two things : he had a heavenly voice, and secondly his gaze was fixated on Joohyun. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"

"Didn't mean to! You brat! You were ogling at me! Don't you have any respect! I'm a woman, not a showpiece! Do you want me to teach you how to respect-"

"Noona, I was actually looking at the...the...the condoms," he replied, burning a bright red, still tugging shyly at his ear. I stifled a laugh as I looked my friend, who was giving a 'mom' advice before, now looking at him with very round, shocked eyes. Without a word, she grabbed me out of the store and I wondered what was going on her very weird mind.

The boy watched the girls take off, his eyes fixated on their retreating backs, leaving him standing there. It was true, he was indeed ogling at her, and he couldn't resist. She looked so cute while asking the counter woman those questions, and he wondered how could someone look so pretty. And when he saw you, you looked good too, and you seemed like a pretty good friend. You would be a good recommendation for his own friend, but he, he had to have your friend. And he, being the adamant boy he was, would go to any length.

What was her name again? Aah, Joohyun. He had heard you screaming her name aisles away and he was painfully taught that your sound didn't need loudspeakers inorder to be heard.
But Joohyun.

Beautiful name for a beautiful lady.
