STORYBROOKE
FOUR YEARS EARLIER

Alexa sat in Winnie's Bar, quickly downing the two shots in front of her before pulling out cash and laying it on the counter.

"Leaving already?" Winnie inquires as he cleans a glass.

"It's been a long day." Alexa admits. "Night."

Zipping up her jacket Alexa walks out onto the streets of Storybrooke, shoving her hands in her pockets as the cold night air blows against her skin. She had been there just over two weeks and she still barely knew her way around town as she's only been to Granny's Diner, Granny's Bed and Breakfast, the Sheriffs department, Regina's house, and Winnie's bar. Looking around the darkened street she only finds a runner across the street and a few nocturnal creatures.

"Hey!" Emma calls in her car, beeping her horn as she pulls to the side of the road and parks the car. "I use for the bathroom for two minutes and you ditch me to go for a drunk night walk."

"I did not ditch you." Alexa crosses her arms. "I just got tired of waiting for you — so I decided to take my own way home."

"Down a dark street, drunk and alone?" Emma questions.

"Em, it's a small nit town. The most dangerous thing we're likely to encounter here is a stray pack of alley cats." Alexa retorts.

"If you're lucky." Emma mutters. "Come on, let's go. It's been a hard enough day dealing with Henry and Regina without having to drag your ass across town."

"Oh my god." Alexa gasps as she notices a shadow across the street. "Did you see that?"

"See what?" Emma asks scanning the street.

"I saw a shadow or.. something shadowy." Alexa says.

"It was probably just a squirrel or something." Emma shrugs.

"That was definitely not a squirrel." Alexa shakes her head.

"You're just drunk and seeing things. You need to go home and get some rest." Emma presses.

"No." Alexa says before running across the street, stopping in front of a seemingly abandoned three story country style mansion. "Wow."

"She is a beauty, isn't it?" A red head muses stepping out of the shadows. "Unfortunately, like myself, it's not what it used to be."

"I'm sorry if my sister is bothering you. She's nosey and doesn't know when to walk away from things." Emma apologizes running over to her sister's side. "Especially when she's a bottle deep in vodka."
