Chapter 1b: true colors

~Zeros POV~
My....neck..is.. "Uhh...gh.." i groan at the sight of blood. I hear yuki calling my name and approaching the door.

"yuki"
"Don't look at me" I say holding the gun in my right hand and gripping my neck with my left.
"Z-zero?" She says as she reaches the doorway.
The smell of her blood....She's bleeding...
My eyes fill with the color red.
"You shot Kyren?!! She could die!" Yuki says concerned making her way towards me 
"Don't"
Yuki asks "W-why zero what's wrong?"
She steps back, retracting the hand she had reached out.

~Yukis POV~
He's in pain.. I can tell
I step back retracting my hand that I had reached out
In a span of seconds I'm against the wall pinned down by zero and the only thing stopping his fangs from reaching my neck was Artemis.
Electricity was flying around, I can't believe my eyes...
Zero is a vampire?
From studying his face it looks like he snapped out of it
Zero reached out "Yuki i-"

I feel someone tall behind me pulling me away from zeros touch, he places one hand on my shoulder and one over my eyes. All I can see is a bright purple glow and the faint voice of kaname
I fall limp.

~Rens pov~
'God dammit, I didn't think he'd actually shoot me. That gun is made to kill vampires so how am I not dead' i asked myself

"I erased her memories of tonight, don't mention any of this to her; the flooding of the memories can be painful" kaname says with a pained look on his face. "And for zero I'll have Aido and akatsuki take him to the headmaster" kaname gestures to zero as the two pale boys enter the room.
"Don't touch me, I can walk on my own" zero jerked away

Kaname turns in my direction and starts walking
"As for you, your lucky you survived that gun wound. Even though it's just in the leg, that should have been enough to kill a normal vampire; Which begs the question, who are you?"
"I'm kyren kage" I say smirking as I leave my dorm

It's been a couple days since I've been at the academy and I quite enjoy being here. I couldn't sleep again.. it's 4am and class doesn't even start until dawn; I guess I could go and shower.
Since the dorms washrooms are closed I'll have to go to the headmasters.

I made my way to the headmasters residence and let myself in, as im walking towards the washroom I see yuki pull zero into the washroom by his sleeve
"no one will find us in here"
I aproach the door to see yuki next to zero in the bottom of the shower
"I've been thinking and this is the only thing I can do to help you" she says placing his head on her shoulder
"Y-yuki" he whispered before digging his fangs into her neck.

I Turn placing my back against the wall and think of what to do next
I back away and decided to walk to the fountain that's sits between the dorm entrances and the school.
Yuki soon approaches
"Oh hey kyren!" She says with a smile on her face
"Your hair is wet" I said rubbing the tips of her hair
"Oh yeah must have been from when I helped zero dry off" she rubbed her head
"Everyone knows your giving him your blood" I run my fingers down her neck
Yukis eyes widened
"W-what are you talking about?"
"We could all smell blood in the air, but only a select few of us knew it was you"
