TW: I know I mentioned it at the beginning of the story, but this book will mention a toxic relationship, as will this chapter. It will also mention alcohol consumption, with an extremely brief mention of sexual assault.

Standing in the centre of her room, Isabella was dressed in the simplest of outfits—grey tracksuit bottoms paired with a simple white t-shirt. Her light blonde hair fell down her back in an annoying amount of knots without a hairbrush in sight, mirroring the untamed currents of her thoughts. The faint frown etched across her face expressed her anger, she was having a bad day and it had only just began.

Today was the day that her parents were leaving for their trip and Remus' friends were coming to stay. In fact, they were already downstairs chatting to Hope and Lyall, Izzy could hear them.

She had begged for her mum to let her stay at her friends house but Hope wouldn't budge. Apparently it seemed like a good enough punishment for Isabella getting expelled, not only that, but she was grounded.

"IZZY!" Lyall shouted up the stairs. "COME DOWN PLEASE."

Taking a deep breath and suppressing as much anger as she could, she left her room and walked downstairs to the living room.

Sitting on the sofas were three boys. The first had messy raven black hair with circular glasses and a dopey smile that carried a thick sense of mischief, the second had long black hair and silver eyes; mysterious, yet intriguing. The last was short, with dirty blonde hair that was in desperate need of a trim, he was slightly chubby, with the most adorable smile Isabella had ever seen. The poor boy looked far too kind and innocent to be friends with a prick like Remus, what a pity.

The three of them all stared at Izzy in shock.

"Ah Remus! You didn't tell us you've got a bird!" The one with long black hair grinned.

"That's disgusting." Isabella scrunched up her nose, noticing the boy with glasses was still staring at her. She gave him an quizzical look, and he turned away, focusing on his friend, waiting for an explanation.

"Guys, this is my twin sister, Isabella," Remus said forcefully, his discomfort widening rapidly.

In a heartbeat, the room erupted in a chorus of loud gasps and puzzled expressions. The presence of the girl unleashed a wave of astonishment among the boys. The idea that their friend had been harboring the existence of such a beautiful (in James' eyes) sister became the focal point of their surprise. In the midst of the gasps and bewildered murmurs, the girl stood as an untold secret, a piece of the puzzle now brought into the light, leaving the room abuzz with newfound intrigue and questions, they had so much to do, so much to discuss.

"You didn't tell us you had a twin!"

"Mate, you have a sister?"

"She's very pretty."

Izzy watched the three of them. She noticed how confused they all seemed. No surprise Remus didn't mention she existed, she and her own friends were the opposite. They used to all talk about Remus and how much they despised him.

"Okay alright!" Remus said awkwardly. "Sorry for not mentioning her.."

"I'm James Potter," The one with circular glasses smiled. "I've never seen you at Hogwarts...what house are you in?"

"I don't go to Hogwarts." Isabella replied. "Well, I'll be starting in September..."

"I'm Sirius Black!" The one with long black hair said cheerfully. Isabellas eyes widened. The Blacks were known for hating muggle borns and being extreme blood purists. "Don't worry I'm not like my family. What school did you go to be before Hogwarts?"
