𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐄𝐏A𝐑𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄, jp

The Party.

"Wait but I like this spell too!" Lily said excitedly. The redhead had hardly wanted to attend the party the Marauders were planning ten minutes ago, but as soon as Isabella had retrieved her book of styling spells from her trunk, she was all in.

"I can't believe that you made this," Marlene sighed, her fingers tracing over the cover of the notepad. The notepad was bright blue, and very big, it was beautifully decorated with pictures Izzy had stuck on the front, and inside she had written in great detail all of the different styling spells she had found. There were ones for makeup, hair colour changing, hair curling and straightening and braiding, ways to magic your hair into pretty updo's and ways to alter clothing sizes so that they fit perfectly.

"My friends and I at home - I mean... Beauxbatons...we really wanted to make it longer, there were so many books in that library that had so many tips. These are only a few of them!" Izzy explained whilst she helped Alice change the way her dress was fitted, tightening it at the sides a little and fixing the length. "Here, this is perfect, Al."

"Thanks, Iz! This feels so much better!"

"Okay, Lils, how are we doing your hair?"

"I can't tell," she shook her head, "I really like the half up half down with curls, but whenever I do it on my own with just my brush it doesn't look good, it makes my head look like an egg!"

"We can try it, and if you don't like it we can change it," Izzy shrugged, gesturing for Lily to sit on the chair in front of her. She was enjoying helping her friends, and it was nice to be able to share something from Beauxbatons, it was proof that she did learn something when she was there. Her school work, on the other hand? She was still miles behind everyone else, and the school systems were so different, some things they were covering now, she had already learnt, and some things that Hogwarts had already covered, she hadn't. She really needed to just sit down with text books and start from scratch, but that sounded exhausting.

"Okay!" Lily sat on the seat and Izzy began with a quick spell that took any knots out of her friends hair.

"Your hair is so long, I love it!" Izzy told her, whilst Marlene turned up the music on her record player. She sectioned the hair, flicked her wand again, muttering a spell and suddenly Lily's hair was curling at the ends and the top was coming together, all Izzy had to do was put in a hair tie and the look was finished. "Do you like it?" She asked, as Lily looked in the mirror.

"It looks so much better than when I do it myself!" Lily exclaimed, "I love it! Thank you!"

"That's okay!" She laughed as her friend smiled from ear to ear, checking her hair in the mirror in disbelief.

"That was so cool!"

"Thanks Marls!"

Once Marlene had decided that she was just going to keep her hair straight, Isabella got started on her own appearance. She did some very light makeup, nothing too excessive, and curled her hair, slipping on a little blue dress that she smoothed the creases out of with her wand.

The Gryffindor girls finished their preparations with lots of giggles and a few more spells, and the sounds of the growing party began to drift up from the common room below. Lily admired her reflection one last time, running her fingers over her perfectly styled hair. Marlene leaned against the windowsill, her straightened hair shining in the moonlight whilst she teased Alice for triple-checking her dress in the mirror.

"You look amazing, Al," Marlene said, nudging her with her elbow. "Now come on, let's get going down before everyone drinks all of the alcohol!"

Isabella laughed. "How do they get the alcohol in?"
