A Glitch In The Matrix

Part four

I woke up and glanced at the clock to my left. The time stated 4:35 in the morning. I tried going back to sleep but failed. So i followed up on the avengers offer to go live in the avengers tower. I changed out of the hospital gown i was currently wearing and got into my plane clothes. I tried looking for my luggage but realised it must have been blown up by the meteorite the only clothes i had were the ones on my back. I wasn't even allowed to steal the gown from the hospital. I made my way out of the building. And onto the streets of New York City. The sun was about to rise. So it was still dark with only a touch of light on the horizon. I had never stepped foot in New York cit before and i had no idea how to navigate it. However there was one thing i knew stark had a kink for all things flashy so i looked at the skyline. And to my luck there was a giant skyscraper with a giant A on it. The avengers tower i presumed so i turned on my heels and made my way towards it. I knew that i was meant to be picked up by Wanda and Thor later in the morning but i could not wait to start training. Even though I knew that harbouring sniper powers probably put me a bit higher on the priority list than the rest of the interns, not to sound self centered but i should really be the center of the avengers attention right now. The door of the avengers tower was large and shiny it also looked petty heavy. I also knew that there was no way i would be able to open it so i looked to the side of the door. A doorbell was ther so i did the reasonable thing and rang it. I t was ambitious to expect anyone to be up at this time but i did it anyway. The door opened effortlessly even against its size. A tall man stood in front of me brooding until a friendly smile lit up his face, "Y/N my friend what are you doing here so early in the morning i thought Thor and Wanda were planning to pick you up at ten."

"Yes, they were but I woke up early and i couldn't get back to sleep so i thought i would head here early."

"Well then, come on in." He lead me up towards a lift and stepped in,"I have just returned from my first run of the day and i was about to eat and i can whip you up something aswell if you would like."

"That sounds nice, thank you."

We exited the lift into a long room .

"Eggs? Sunny side up?"

"Sure where should i wait?"

"Just sit on the sofa in the living room but just stay away from the left most seat because that's romanoff's chair and she will kill you. No exaggeration."

"Ok I'll steer away from the left side of the room then."

"Ok then I'll be right back." He mad his way to the kitchen . The room was split into three sections the left side was a dining room with a long table. The table had ten seats around it. It sat right in the middle of the room. The rest of the room was decorated very modern. In the middle of the room there was a divider wall and on one side of it was a top of the range kitchen with an island and barstools. On the other side was a large sofa and armchairs. And in the middle there was a small coffee table with plants on it. On the wall was a large flat screen tv. It looked of the highest technology but not one i had seen before. The screen was almost like a hologram . I went up to it to look at the manufacturer .

"Tony made that." I jumped backwards nocking the coffee table on my way. " Natasha. Pleasure to meet you." A woman was stood in front of me with gorgeous red hair down to her soldiers she was wearing athletic wear and had headphones in.

"Y/N. I am one of the interns."

"I know who you are you are the intern that got blown up at the shawarma shop."

"Yep that's me. Steve is just making me some eggs right now. Do you mind if i ask you the time."

"It's 5:30. Everyone will be down in a moment so get ready."

She exited the tower on to the street put her hood up and sprinted off. Steve made his way back around the divider and motioned for me to join him on the sofa. I did and he handed me a plate of eggs.

"Ah so this is what sunny side up means."

"You don't know what sunny side up means. Dear god youths today.Listen once you have finished your eggs i'll take you up to your room and you can rest as it looks like you have not slept since thor and wanda came to see you."

I knew he was right but i was also sad that i knewq i had to rest. There was an inchling feeling in my gut that i had to explore the tower and the rest of new york.

"Of course. I'll be quick."
