Liz was sleepless, she couldn't sleep since everyone died. It was already in fact been a year. It was too much for her, her bestfriend died, her lover died, her brother figure died, and Clint left her. She knew he needed time, so she didn't pressure him. She ussually sleeps , with pills who helped her, but she forget to buy new.
As she stared at the celling, she heard her bedroom door being open, and small footsteps approaching her, she tensed, but when she saw it was Andie visibly relaxed .
Liz and her daughter had always this understanding even without words.
"Couldn't sleep?" Andie had the same problem, because she too, lost her aunt, her father figure, and her uncles. Liz didn't need anything else than to look at Andie's eyes and see it all, she missed them, they both did.
Liz scooted over the one side of the bed to make more place, and Andie came and lay in her mother's arms. It was silence for a while until the younger Smith wishperd.
"Mum, can you sing the song?" She didn't need to say which, whenever some of them said the phrase, they already both knew what that meant. It kind of helped them, reminded them of the lost ones. For most people it was just a song but for them it was something more.
"Okay." Liz told her daughter softly

Liz was watching Steve quietly singing the song to Andie, because of her nightmares. She was grateful Steve wasn't on a mission, and was there with her and her 6 years old daughter. He was like the missing peace of the Smith girls.
They both loved him, and he loved them both.
When Steve turned around, his eyes widened at first. But as he saw the look on her face he relaxes, they both let a low chukle as they exited Andie's room, and Steve closed the door.
"You are a good singer" The woman said, and they shared a laugh as the were finally in the living room. "Anyway, how do you know that song? I've never heard it before."
She looked at him while putting her arms around hisneck, as his went around her waist
"My mother sang it to me when I was little, until..." Steve said there was a bit sadness in his voice. His love curtly nobedin understanding. He was more than grateful to have her, it's true he loved Peggy, but Peggy was his epic love, Liz was his real. They understand each other's emotions and are there always for one another.
And if he started on Andie, this kid was like his own. He loved both of them. They were his family together with the avengers.
"So, I was planning, tomorrow night you and I, on a date?" Steve tried to say what he heard from one of the shows the family watched on the TV.
"Mhmm, trying to use some of the new ways, captain?" And Steve sheepishly nobed. She chuckled, sound that made Steve heart fluttering."Well who is gonna watch Andie?"she asked as she bit her lip.
"Well, you know this Stacy, from the floor beneath us, she said she will watch her for 10 per hour?" Steve said slightly narrowed eyes and small suggestive smile on his face.
"Only 10? " She asked, and when Steve nobed, she started chuckling again "Wow, this girl won't be a businesswoman for sure." now they were both chuckling." But alright, go on, ask me on a date." She said while putting her hands back to her side and straightening up.
Steve chuckled more to that, sound which Liz loved to hear. "Well, Lizabeth Smith would you go on a date with me?"
"Yes, I would love to, Steve Rogers?" She said giggling.
It was silent as they stared at each other lovingly. Steve moved his hands so that one was on her neck the other on her hip, and she placed hers on his chest, their faces were inches away.
They leaned and softly kissed. Their kisses were always like their first one, like there were sparks. While they were kissing they heard giggling next to them, and stopped to see 6 years old Andie watching them giggling. They looked at each other with wide eyes and then at her, it was silent for a moment.
"Steve, why are putting your mouth on mummy's?" she said giggling.
