Louis' POV

Beep! Beep! Beep!

Ugh what the fuck is that.

Beep! Beep! Be-

I groaned and rolled over to shut off my alarm. Stupid phone wanting me to get up and face the world. Stupid world. I was about to go back to sleep when it hit me.

Today is the first day of school. Shit!, I'm gonna be late!

I instantly bolted out of bed to get ready. I ran around my new dorm like a lunatic, pulling on grey sweats and a black hoodie from yesterday. Not like it would matter what i wore, it's only a 9am class most people would probably look no different.

The night before, i had arrived at my new dorm at around 10pm because of the traffic and so i didn't have a chance to unpack anything, or meet my roommate. Hell, i was so tired i just went to bed in my boxers only 20 minutes after arriving. I was guessing my roommate had an 8am class today, hence they had already left before me.

I grabbed my bag from the floor next to my suitcase, along with a pen, and practically ran out the door. I pulled up a map of the campus on my phone to attempt to locate my first lesson of the school year. Mentally thanking myself for memorising my first day the week before, as i approached my first classroom for the morning. Chemistry with Ms Rivers.

I stumbled through the door, but thankfully i wasn't late. Everyone was just finding seats, so i decided to find somewhere random. Make new friends, and all that crap. I chose a seat at the back of the room, the seat in the very back left of the lab. As i began taking my equipment for the lesson out i realised i didn't have anything other than that pen. This is brilliant. As i was about to get up to ask for paper from the teacher, like the fucking year 7 i am, the guy, who i hadn't even noticed sit down next to me, turned to me with a small smile.

"Need paper I'm guessing?" Holy Shit. That voice is like sex and brownies mixed into one. Ok louis, you need to calm down. It's not even quarter-past 9 and you're already imagining what this guy you've known two seconds sounds like when he moans. Get a grip.

"Yeah, please." I replied, gladly taking the small notepad from the stranger.

"Thanks, I honestly can't imagine the embarrassment of having to go up to Ms and asking for paper like a bloody year 7 on their first day of high school." I easily spoke.

"Maybe i should take that notebook back then? After all, laughing at some guy in my chemistry class would be a great way to start my day." He spoke, softly laughing.

"Ya know, i have a real name instead of just 'guy in my chemistry class'."

"And that would be...?"

But before i could get a proper introduction in to the guy, Ms Rivers spoke.

"Alrighty class, I'm Ms Rivers and I'll be your chemistry teacher for the next year. Now, before we do any kind of work, I'd like everyone to introduce themselves, as this is the first lesson of the year. We'll go around the room and say our name and something about ourselves. I would also like to point out that where you are sat will actually be your seats for the year, so try to get on please." She said, enthusiasm practically making her glow. She reminded me of a primary school teacher. Those ones that were always over the top.

Everyone groaned at her childish way to start, but never the less we kept our mouths shut, waiting for her to tell us to start. "Let's start with you guys," gesturing towards the front row on the right, "then go around the room one row at a time, right to left, then go back a row and go left to right, and so on, ok?" One by one everyone introduced themselves, most of them as tired as the other, one or two seeming to be early birds. There were a few football guys, a few chavs, one or two obviously not straight girls, and a non-binary person called Charlie who had some proper cool shoes, that had spoken by the time it got to the bloke next to me.
