to those who keep trying
day after day after day,
when the hours seem long
and the years slip by,
when life seems to leave you behind:
My heart beats with yours
through all of the wars
that you fight alongside
so many others.
Though you battle alone,
we'll bandage your wounds
when you need to breathe
or find a subtle excuse
to keep going,
and moving,
and surviving.
Dawn will come.
The rain will be chased away.
