If the world was built
in jewel-like tones,
would it change the mood?
Would we slow down
and rest awhile,
learn a different tune?
Would we see how precious
all of this is
before, suddenly, it's all gone?
Would we wake up
hungry for life
everyday at dawn?
Would we be more creative
if the world that we saw
was vivid and cool, yet bright?
Would we take the time
to love ourselves,
the world, and all its light?
If the world was repainted
in jewel-like hues,
would life still be the same?
No, my friend,
it'd get better I bet
and everything would change.
