Soon it was afternoon and Inaya was in her room, writing an article for her report when Mrs Malik walked in.

"Au--I mean, Mom, What happened, is there any need for me?" Inaya asked her.

"No, not actually... everything is going well. I was just here to give you this jewellery for the reception," she presented Inaya with a box.

"Thank you." Inaya smiled at her and she smiled back.

"You know Inaya, I've adored you since the day you entered our house. I don't know if you know but I've always wanted you to be Armaan's life partner because he's the best around you. Now that you two are so in love and married. I cannot be happier. This is just so perfect. Hope you two stay strong and by each other's side always." Inaya was listening to it keenly and her heart was breaking little by little by every word of Mrs Malik, she would never want to hurt her... Mrs Malik was like a second mother to her and the thought of how she will react when they'll be divorcing was one of her biggest fears. She might lose what she has with her.

"Inaya, what are you thinking?" Mrs Malik brought Inaya out of her thoughts.

"Nothing, just thinking how swiftly this all happened." Inaya smiled.

"Yes... but everything that has happened is for good."

"Yes," Inaya smiled.

"Take your time,  get ready for the reception. I'll call Armaan too, his recording must be done till now."

"Probably."

Mrs Malik swayed her hand on Inaya's head and left.

Inaya closed her eyes and sighed. The reception wasn't going to be easy and she had a gut feeling about it.

When Inaya was dressed in the dress she was given to her, she came into the room again only to find Armaan there.

The so-called husband of hers was again mesmerized by his wife as she dazzled in a champagne blue lehenga.

She didn't say anything to him and walked to the vanity table, deja vu of the morning to Armaan.

"This lehenga is so pretty, Mrinal Bhabhi has such a good choice," she said, surely not to Armaan.

Armaan looked up with a beaming face, smiling sheepishly, "It isn't."

"Why would you say that? Is that dress not good? Do I look like ugly in it?" She looked to him through the mirror.

"No one's ugly it's just about perspective and YOU AREN'T ugly at all. You're perfect."

She rolled her eyes,"then why did you say that?"

"Because I chose this dress." He said, giving a bright smile.

"Really?" She looked at herself in the mirror.
