"Dinner on Thursday night, semester break the night right after! Sweeeet!" Namjoon exclaimed, gesturing his hands like he was gonna deliver some rap. "Pretty sure I won't have the slightest concentration in class anymore on Friday morning!"

Jin stared at the invitation card as he leaned in towards his desk. Something about the invitation gave off unsettling vibes, no matter how logic it seemed.

Why would the Board of Education want to meet kids who only missed out a few days of the camp? Sure, the camp was a big deal for students, but not for the adults. It was just one of the normal events our extravagant school is required to do.

How is inviting us to their annual party a beneficial thing?

More importantly, why am I even bothered?

This should be a great opportunity- dad would be over the moon once he knows.

"Yah, are you gonna go back home the moment we finish our last class or stay another night?" Namjoon knelt down before Jin's desk, placing his chin on the wooden surface while grinning like a dork. Jin moved back, dropping the invitation envelope as his eyes rolled backwards. Thinking.

"Maybe I'll stay another night."

Namjoon's pupils enlarged, not expecting his answer.

"WO- WOAH. Seriously? Nah, you're kidding right?"

Jin snorted. "No jokes this time, Joon. I'll probably stay another night, cause I'm not sure when my parents are free to pick me up."

"But they always pick you up on the last day? Even if it's late!"

"Yeah, but what's wrong with staying here for another night?"

"Dude, you never wasted an extra night in this school when it's sem break! Two weeks out of school, bro! You're wasting..." He paused a second to mentally count. "Wasting 1 free night out of 15! Bro, you are aware that we won't go back home for the rest of the year later when we come back?"

The way he panicked made Jin fight his inner thoughts and just shrugged.

"It's Kim Seok Jin here. I am very aware. Just consider it an extra sleepover where I can just relax without the dorm comm ruling my life, for once."

Namjoon blinked and frowned, and then closed his mouth in half defeat, half amused.

"Woah. That seems reasonable. But still, where did the old Jin went? Just a few months ago you hardly had interest to be the vice pres, and now you're even staying overnight when we can go home! Dang, maybe the bear attack actually had some effect on you, huh?"

Oh, yes. It definitely did.

Just then, Moon Byul waltzed in with one hand tucked in her pocket, the other just swinging freely.

The girl is still well known for her juvie record and rumoured murder case, but it's a relief that people are starting to pay less attention to her. The girls in class do talk to her sometimes, but it's also pretty obvious that she's not in any permanent girl gang yet. So while Namjoon and Jin are known to be the inseparable duo, Moon Byul is seen as the extra member, which now makes them a classic trio.

People don't find it strange anymore, because whenever they hang out, it'll be a mentor mentee session where they help Moon Byul to catch up with her studies. Good thing Namjoon and Jin are the class representatives, which makes the formation more natural.

When Jin and Moon Byul's eyes met, Jin could see the clear excitement in her.

Ah, she must've gotten some pretty interesting details from the Eagle.
